And another question, do they have any signs that prohibit non-authorized vehicles to the back lot? Or is it supposed to be common knowledge that you aren't allowed back there?
Secondly, i've never actually been to the point before so i was wondering if I could take pictures from the line of a ride with just a normal camera, because i would like to get a before/after shot of me from the stations of Millenium Force and Top Thrill Dragster.
P.S keep up the good work:)

Rachel: Hi Pheebs.
Phoebe: Hi!
Rachel: Hi! I just want to apologize. I’m really sorry I was a baby.
Phoebe: That’s ridiculous Rachel, we were all babies once. . .Oh, you mean today!
Rachel: Yeah.

Some people absolutely refuse to understand or see my point of view.I understand your oppinion. I am also a moderator here in Holland, and we delete also illegal stuf from our website if they breake the park rules.
Lot's of people have sending me emails, and asked for the movies of TTD. I gave it to them. I hope you don't mind.
This movie was big news in Europe.
Jeff, keep up the good work. This site is awsome ;) Respect !!!!

And I was at the park getting my pass processed Sat evening. (my camera is small and silver :p) The ride is quite impressive, even after watching it grow up. :)
Edit:: I did notice that the ride goes PLENTY fast over the top. By the time I'd tell my friend it launched and he turned around, it was going back down again.

I love Cedar Point, and I do not want to do anything that would get me removed from the park.

That's Ridiculous™
I can see not allowing them in the queues for the same reason small children aren't allowed in the queues. Even if people say they aren't going to ride, you never know and you have to be 100% safe.
On the midways though? I see no reason why there would be any such policy against taking pictures of CP's rides or anything else in the park. It's part of what gives them great publicity and word of mouth advertising. They might be tight with certain policies, but that would be kind of shooting themselves in the foot. Everyone takes pictures on their family vacation for goodness sake! :)

A couple of years ago while at Soak City with my family I was standing at the very edge of the wave pool (where the depth is 0") taking a picture of one of my kids and the lifeguard told me that I wasn't allowed to take pictures in the water. I asked why and he said that if I dropped my camera in the water it would throw off the pH of the water and mess up their filter/cleaning/whatever system. At the time, I was a little irritated by this because I had the strap around my neck and it was obvious that this was not a cheap camera. ($450 Minolta Maxxum 3xi) Do you think I would take a chance on dropping that? Plus I thought, "Would one roll of film really affect the water that much?" They also didn't allow cameras that are made to be in the water (like point & shoot underwater cameras - I asked).
I have great respect for the rules and regulations at Cedar Point. I believe it to be a super safe place. I recall a few accidents happening over the years at SFWoA and am grateful to Cedar Point for their great safety record. I just had to remind myself of that, that day.
I've never had a problem taking pictures or video taping in the park. If I rememebr right, there is nothing about this in the park information brochure, but I haven't checked in a couple of years. If I couldn't take pictures or video my kids riding... that would be very sad. Guess I better research it.

"But I hold on to my expensive equipment..." And? Obviously, either you didn't complete your thought or you didn't realize how incomplete that was. You can have a strap around your neck and have the camera superglued into your hands but there is always that small chance you'll fall, get run into and knocked over, etc. Simply having it "secured" is never enough in those situations, when you're in a park with thousands of other people anything can happen.
We've booted people from line for coming into our queue and just STANDING there and taping. Right in the middle of the queue! They have so little respect for the other guests that they sneak their camcorder in line and stand right in the queue and tape for 20 minutes making it difficult for the people who want to ride to get in line! I wonder why these people have no respect for the other guests, and if they'll ever realize that queues are for people wanting to ride...the midway is for pictures.

Honest truth told to me by marina gate readmissions host:
Host: Hand stamped, two cents.
Me: That's cool, I think I have two cents.
Host: I better not take it, by the time you leave here its all you'll have.
With all the inner tubes in there floating around and people not looking where they're going, your bound to get bumped. Even water-proof cameras can get kicked and broken. Plus, as soon as you let someone stand in 0" water with a camera, someone else will see it, think it's OK, then go further in. You have to be strict in order to keep it from happening at all.
