NO SCREAMING!

Im still upset about the closing of Riverland Amusement Park that was located on the east side of Van Dyke and south of Hall.
A few years before the closing they put in that "wonderful"coaster. To bad I never got the chance to ride it.:(

^^It isn't an amusement park though, it's a small family fun centre that added a huge thrill ride.

We'll miss you MrScott and Pete

^^^No, it was actually along Van Dyke, between Hall Road (aka M-59, 20 Mile) and 21 Mile Road, in Utica.

Anyway you guys could use the quote feature instead of those carrots?

-Evan Hendrick

The carrots are preferred if you're quoting someone only a few posts above. It reduces the visual clutter on the site and is easier to read.

Yeah, what Tim said...

Check out #8.

What exactally were you quoteing there Loopy? Because there are no mention of carrots used on that page.

8. Quoted replies
Please note that the "reply" link on every individual post is intended to setup a quote of that post in the reply window. Please use this only if you wish to respond to a much earlier post in the thread. Even then, be sure to trim the parts of the post that do not refer to your response. Put your response after the quote tags, so it doesn't blend with the part you're responding to. If you're just making an additional post to the thread, simply enter it in the window at the end of the thread.

No, there's no mention of using carrots in there but it does mention to only use the quote feature if you are quoting someone in a much earlier post. Three posts above yours does not qualify as "much earlier".

The carrots are just an easy way to say, "hey, here's who I'm replying to".

Ride on, MrScott!

Looks like chat shorthand to me.

-Evan Hendrick

Regardless of what it looks like you to, that's what everyone on here uses and it works.

^^^^^^^ No.

That's the hardest I've laughed in a long time, Mike.

Thanks.

As far as it being chat shorthand...

Last time I was chatting on my Instant Messenger, I didn't start every reply with "^" to let the other person know I was replying to their last message.

Ride on, MrScott!

The other day one of my posts showed up with no content. I'm guessing this happened to her, and she just didn't notice.

I don't know how the ride operates, but I am going to throw this one out there: Is the park able to reverse the direction of the rotation and the cars?

If so, that could make things easier for everyone. The screams would go in the opposite direction, and you could not see the backyards of the complaintants.

... unless there are houses in the opposite direction.

Beer and golf Thursday thru Monday, Cedar Point & beer, Tuesday and Wednesday.

Can you see One-Eyed-Willie from the top of Magnum?

If you look at aerial imagery of the area, the "park" is surrounded by houses.
