No more Cedars?

I’ll kind of miss the old dump! At various times, I lived in Cedars, Breakers, and the first apartment building when CP first bought it. Living on-Point is orders of magnitude more convenient than off.

I wonder if this may provide space to build a new dedicated outdoor performance venue. I would love to see them remove the stage in front of Iron Dragon.

If all the players are ready...at the sound of the bell, ROLL EM!

After a couple of years, (with an unplanned pandemic and TTD troubles in the middle), it looks like some more things are happening with the formers Cedars location, with HR reportedly moving off-site:

Kind of weird they say "auxilliary HR offices" and then assume the current building will be demolished. When I hear "auxilliary," I think in addition to or supplimental.

Don't get me wrong, the current HR building is kind of ugly, I believe it floods on occasion, and it's on real estate that could certainly be used for something better, but the word "auxilliary" makes me wonder if it's even going anywhere.

I still say the missed the boat on dropping the bulk of Valravn's layout over there where Cedars was and using the freed up area inside the park for a giant indoor food venue. Now that they have Farmhouse and Grand Pavilion at opposite ends of the park, I'm not sure it's really needed any more, but I thought that location would have been ideal for something like that. Hard to complain about the Grand Pavilion though. Wish Farmhouse had some indoor seating, but the area they created around it is very nice as long as the weather is decent.

Just like that “lagoon maintenance” that was completed in the spring. 😉

^^I missed 2022, and so I experienced Farmhouse for the first time this season. All I can say is wow. That is a home run dining venue for the park. I love the ambiance and atmosphere of the place, and the food was great both days of my visit this season. I went in looking forward to Grand Pavilion, which was also really nice. But Farmhouse truly impressed me.

Edit: Agree that the verbiage is interesting when they say "auxiliary offices." But I'm of the belief that the existing offices are coming out and the park may expand its boundary along with perimeter road.
