Let me start by saying... CP IS FRIGGIN AWSOME!
after leaving Texas at 4:30 in the morning, manuvering the airports, driving in from Cleveland, we finally arrived at the point. with tickets in our hands we hit the park immediately. it was 5:30 p.m. and we had lots of time to ride. since we stayed at hotel breakers we entered through the side entrance and got right on magnum. what a great coaster! we got right back in line, which was only about a 10 minute wait.
and from there it was just ride after ride. hardly no wait time for anything and that makes a great day. i loved mantis and got in 3 rides on it. raptor was a awsome ride, one of the best danglers i have been on. and is'nt that iron dragon fun? first ride on it our car got stopped halfway through due to having to clean up barf on the car in front of us. yuk.
i had really wanted to ride mean streak, i love a wooden coaster. and while the ride was fun, i do not think my back will ever be the same.
10:00 came too soon, so we went to TGI fridays for a drink. we stopped there several times during our stay and the service was horrible. everytime.
thursday morning we were in the park at 9 and went straight for maverick. this ride alone was worth the trip from Texas. i could do this over and over again. we got 2 rides in before 10 and you can't beat that.
the only bad thing about our trip was the fact that i could not ride milli. i needed about a inch to buckle up and believe me i tried to smush myself in. thats fine though, you can bet your ass i will ride next year.
and the day stayed just perfect. liitle or no wait times so we rode everything in that park i think. and once again, 10:00 came too soon.
i have to give some shout outs to 2 people. Amanda at the front desk was the friendliest person i have ever met. it is nice to see a smiling face everytime you walk up. she was great.
Captain Mark at North Shore parasailing. this guy rocks. he gave us a awsome time up there in the air and coming back from Put-in-bay that night. hope to see him next year.
so the vote is in...........CP is the best park i have ever been to. friendly people, clean park, awsome rides. i am hooked. i can't think of a better place to have spent my 20th anniversay than riding coasters with the hubby at this park. so i am offically no longer a first timer.
SEE YA NEXT YEAR CP !!
Glad to hear you enjoyed your trip!
The service at TGI Fridays was terrible for me as well.
It's called Millennium Force, not "Millenium" Force. Thanks.
Sounds like you had a great trip, even though there was some hiccups along the way. I'd be so down if I couldn't ride Milli, that's my favorite ride in all the world. Were you able to ride dragster at all?
Meanstreak I'll never go on again, I can't stand that ride. Its so jerky that it takes away from any kind of airtime you get. I can't believe someone barfed on Iron Dragon! Maybe it was a little kid or something who just ate lol.
There's something to be said when you have a few hiccups at a park and still are hooked and want to come back. CP is the best out there, no doubt.
Best RollerCoaster in the World = Millenium Force
What TGI friday did you go to? The one by Castaway Bay has nice and fast service. You had to have went to the one by Breakers.
