It wasn't open for Joe Cool in 2005. So I doubt it would be in 2006 either.

It was open for Joe Cool in 2005. It will not be open for Joe Cool in 2006.
2005/2006: Cedar Point - Millennium Force
2007/2008/2009: Walt Disney World - Magic Kingdom - Tomorrowland Speedway
2008: Hard Rock Park - Maximum RPM! Opening Supervisor
2008/2009: Universal Orlando - Men in Black: Alien Attack Team Leader, Guest Services Coordinator
Well, when I went to the Point after Top Thrill reopened near the end of the year, I used my Joe Cool to get in early, and it was not open. Maybe it was other times, but that day it didn't open until the GP was let in.

Even so, JCC still allows you to get there before the rush/stampede. In my mind, that's still good enough. I'm aiming to be the first rider of the season come opening day so I'll take anything that'll help.:)
But it does leave one question; Why?......budget cuts??

Ben, that's the whole point. You get Joe Cool to avoid the wait. Several times I have been able to ride MF 3 times in the first hour because of Joe Cool. And these arn't weekdays. I would love to be able to use it on TTD so I don't have to wait an hour+ to ride it.
Though I'd glagly give up the TTD Joe Cool access if it would mean that it would run more consistantly.

It's what Ben and John said. I doubt CP is doing it to save money on labor. In fact, I'm willing to bet that the crew will have to come in at the same time this summer as last summer (when TTD was part of Joe Cool) simply to have a better shot of getting the ride operational by the opening time. My guess is that this decision was made because too many guests were getting upset about TTD not running at its advertised JCC time. Often, management would give out exit passes or FreeWay to affected guests. So having TTD open later would make even more sense if FreeWay is truly not coming back this summer.

For anyone who has worked on or near the ride; how long does it take each morning to get the trains to all go over the tower without rollbacks.
I have only seen it happen once with no rollbacks and then the first GP train rolled back. But a normal test is about 30-40 min depending on weather and how the ride is running.
