It's true about Ocean Motion being very hidden. I was at CP yesterday in line for WT with a friend who has been there more times than I have and he was shocked to find out that CP had a swinging ship. Most people walk towards WT from the maXair area, not along Kiddy Kingdom so they wouldn't even see OM.
We'll miss you MrScott and Pete

I'm voting for a nice board walk and a snazzy well lit casino.... However unless the voters in Ohio would give the go ahead, that seems only like it will be in my dreams. Unless of course they find an indian burial ground on the beach.
Which obviously explains the issues with WT, it's sitting on a burial ground. What else would explain it's ups and downs unless it was Intamin who made it...
oh, wait. :)

I agree! Cedar Point needs some variety in their shows, not just all song and dance. They need stunts...like high dives!
I always loved the dive show. One reason is because it was different every year. It was also nice to sit in the stadium overlooking the lake and on a hot day feel the cool breeze come off the lake.
I sometimes wonder where CP gets their ideas to add/remove rides/attractions. I would like to be on the committee that makes those decisions!
Never really any good? What are you talking about?? There was comedy and a lot of talent. Variety is key. No one likes to watch ALL song and dance (at least I don't).
I wouldn't say ALL of CP's other shows are good. Molly and Maverick is OK, but I certainly wouldn't say "good".
Every time I was at the dive show, there was a decent crowd. You also have to consider...some people that go to the shows are just doing so to get out of the heat. Sure, there is a cool breeze at the Aquatic Stadium but you aren't truly "out of the heat". That could be one factor as to why the stadium doesn't fill up on a 95 degree day
I found the Dive Show at CP very similar to the one at Sea World Ohio, and I enjoyed both shows.
What is disappointing about not having a Dive Show is that LiveE has one less show this year, and one less thing for non-riders to do.
I would love to see them expand the entertainment. Although the ice skating show is a plus, they lost the Imax movie to present it. In addition, over the years, CP lost the country music show in Frontier Town and both the Hobo Band and the Beach Band.
For those of you too young to remember, the county music show was in an outdoor theater next to Mine Ride's first lift. This was in addition to the Golden Palace Theater.
I wish they would bring back the Hobo and Beach bands. They added a lot to the midway atmosphere and they were a lot of fun.
I'd rather be in my boat with a drink on the rocks,
than in the drink with a boat on the rocks.
Yes, I remember the country music show between the CCMR and SRF. There were wooden log benches you sat on, which were removed to accomodate Skyhawk. I have to admit, I've never watched that show, because I am not a big fan of country music.
As for the Hobo and Beach bands, they were GREAT midway entertainment. Last year, Geauga Lake had the Boogie Down Band and they were superb. I have heard they moved this band to KI.
Cedar Point needs to have entertainment for ALL ages, and not just target ages 12-32 (or whatever their target age is). While my 82 year old father just loves the ice show and Dazzle Beyond Divine, he didn't seem too crazy about Molly and Maverick. I sometimes think it would be a wise choice for the crowd of senior citizens to have some type of big band show that would date back to their era. Heck, even a "Laurel and Hardy" type show would draw a crowd of all ages, I think.
CP officials need to read PointBuzz to see what the general public wants!
