So do they still have the recording on Dragster at the launch position? Referring to the engine revving and the tire squeeling and such? Please say it's still there!!
Yes, that's still there.

Yep, Dragster's revving is still there. I honestly think MF and WT will have their recorded spiels return, just because they were speiling from the booth and not on a nice new wireless mic system like the other rides. I suspect the only reason MF and WT don't have the recordings is probably because they need to change something and haven't had a chance to re-record it. However, if MF and WT did not regain their auto spiels, I would not miss it. WT still had the music playing, I'm not sure about MF.
And then one day you find ten years have got behind you
No one told you when to run, you missed the starting gun
Ok, ok in a way we're glad some of them are gone, but it was always nice to hear "You will be assending to a height of 157 feet above ground level" when you walked in to the front of the park. Does anyone know if The Love Shack is still playing on Mantis? That was one sound track I would be happy to see go. Anyway, For the last few years that we have been going to Cedar Point every weekend, we have only heard autospiels, and they became part of the Cedar Point Rides. Oh and I hate CORKSCREWS now. It sounds like Geauga Lake now.
I think WT is getting it's spiel back because they were still playing the old music in the background. But who knows. But the funny part is when the had the auto spiels all we did was complain that they were there. Then now that they are gone most of us miss them.
"Failure to follow posted safety rules and audio announcements may result in serious accident or injury"
The only rides people miss them on are th ones that opened with them. I agree that it would alter the atmosphere of the ride if there is no "MF music" in the station, but if that's what it takes to get rid of the auto-spiels throughout the park, then so be it.

IIRC there were issues with the auto-spiel at WT last year...once in a while it wouldn't play and we'd have to read from the spiel sheet. The winter weather must've played havoc on the PA system, so they're probably going to fix it.
I'm not a very good spieler, so let's hope they have it working when I get there on the 16th.
Not to be confused with Twisted Wicker 08 from 2002
^Well I guess you're out of luck...

The "Keep arms down, head back and hold on" is still there too. Although they changed part of it this year. The ride ops in the botth have the ability to trigger "Arms down!", which in previous years was about the same audio level as the rest of the launch spiel. However this year they have jacked up the level of it. "Keep arms down, head back and hold on.....ARMS DOWN" I could hear the "ARMS DOWN" near Wildcat.
Also chiming in to say that I'm glad they are gone on most rides. The rides ahd a much better atmosphere in the station with ride ops doing the spiels. When I was around Dragster the ride op was talking to the people and asking questions and stuff while they waited for the trains in front of them to launch.
"So how many of you plan on holding your hands up during the launch?"
*75% of the people on the trains raise their hands*
"Well, don't do it."
