I went to cedarpoint when i was 18 and had no problem finding things to do, and i am a bit of a loner so if you are social you will be busy all the time.
To answer the question the park has some sorta event most weeks. They have ride nights or open the midway to employees. I think they do that for the younger people.
There is always something to do if you are creative
Unless you are into the gay bars, Louies is pretty much the only night life unless there is a ride night or something like that going on. There's also the underground, which allows 18 year olds, and from my one and only crappy experience there, anyone who has at least hit puberty.
The only redeeming factor about there not being much night life is that you're usually too tired from working to want to go out anyway.
And then one day you find ten years have got behind you
No one told you when to run, you missed the starting gun
This one I know. Club curb is what I will call the main meeting place in the middle of all the commons dorms and apartments. It's also right in front of the store that provides those quick cheap meals. There is a curb that everyone sits on most of the time, to meet up with other and stay away from their boring rooms.
I spent many of nights on that curb including passing out on it a time or two. The sun actually woke me up. Funny how when Louie's closed, there was plenty of security around. But after an hour or two, not a soul in site. I met some of my favorite friends from CP there!

I dunno what it was about CP, but it causes a lot of people to start smoking, Club Curb was the best place to bum a cigarette. I must have bummed 2 packs a week. The money I saved on cigarettes, I used towards health insurance. Okay, that last sentence was a lie, but I thought it sounded funny.
I'm too sexy for my harness!
Thursday nights at Star Lanes on route 6 (Cleveland Rd.) has a party that includes Pizza and pop for ten dollars, all you can eat, bowl. It starts at 10PM get there early. Cedar lanes at the corner of Rt6 and Cedar Point Dr., CP employees can rent a lane every night for $5 a person and it is for an hour. If you are over 21 there is the Old Dutch Tavern on Perkins ave. by the Mall, some employees go there especially on thurs.
For food you have the thirsty pony at cedar lanes they are kinda pricey, but it is good and open kinda late. On 250 you have Dianna's (Dirty D's - which I still dont know why) the are open 24hrs.
If you take a day trip to Put in Bay they have tons of bars there, the ferry even leaves from downtown Sandusky.
