Does anyone know if CP is going to ruin night rides on MF byputting floodlights along the tracks? I hope they keep it liek Magnum was before Soak City expansions. Imagine how dark the island will be! Of course being 100+ in the air, nothing really matters. The helix in the woods will be cool though!
Believe me, if they light MF like SFDL did S:ROS, you'll like it. They won't put floodlights on the tracks, but underneath only on the big hills. That thing will just glow.
Damn, I wish it were May :)

Don't forget about the Bugs that will be getting stuck in your teeth at 92 MPH.(especially if they put floodlights around it!) LOL!!
I wouldn't rely on fixing your hair before going on MF...:) I always thought that those big spotlights that scan the sky ala Batman style would be cool..but it would prob. break some regulations...

Good topic cpp -
Here's my humble prediction -
I think it's almost a guarantee that the first hill will be lighted in one way or another - spotlights shining up seems obvious. The first turnaround and the and last turnaround will be lighted with spots. Everything else will be dark (at night, of course).
Cruising around on the island in the dark after everything grows out a bit will REALLY be something.
Not to mention, Jeff already promised us (from an earlier post) that the lighting will be spectacular.
If it's not Jeff, I'm coming over and hiding all of your silverware... :)

Guide To The Point 1 is really good value...
I didn't promise it... someone from the park who could make that statement did!

That stuff is great! Don't you guys love eating fries by Kiddy Kingdom at night and watching the strobies go on the Cobra Roll when the trains go by on Raptor?! Just think about dropping 300 feet into that! Ohhhh, I can't wait for Millennium Force!

Welcome back Millennium Force riders...We all want to know how was your RIDE!!!!!
I am w/ cobra but put them in the tunnel too! That would be so cool! I think that the lift is going to be lit w/ flood lights but the rest who knows!
Son like [former] father...(MF with Magnum regarding the lights and fog in tunnel)

It would be interesting to run strobes against the path of the train, just to make it seem that much faster.
ow!!! that would hurt your eyes after a while, wouldn't it?

"I think I scrambled my brain!!"
Yeah, I like the strobe ideas. I can't see them when I'm riding (especially on the Raptor) but it looks cool when you're waiting. Too bad they never run the smoke and/or strobes in the tunnels on the Magnum when i go. :(
They have smoke in the Magnum tunnels? I have only ridden it about 10 times but I have never seen smoke, strobes once or twice but no smoke.

The below idea is something I've been wanting to post for a while but never got around to it.
While thinking of the summer spectaular one night, a very intriguing but most likely astronomically expensive and impractical idea struck me: Position a few laser projector units at strategic locations in line of sight of the track. By employeing a tracking system to account for possible swaying of the taller towers, the lasers could then "trace" the contour of the track in a pinpoint blue(similar to how a few lasers draw the summer spectacular screen by moving at the speed of light) that could probably be seen for miles on the lake. Being that these lasers would be pointing from the ground up and would also outline a structure rather than look like landing lights, it may just be feasible with the air traffic control crowd.
This is just wishful thinking on my part and in NO WAY IS IT MEANT TO BE INTENDED AS A RUMOR; I'm completely sure the whole lighting scheme has been set in stone for months now, but maybe I'll luck out and come close... Place your bets now :)
An outline sounds cool. Although won't there be lights at the top, like Power Tower? Or am I just imagining things??

its coming!!!!!!
I think lights only at the bottom of the hill would be cool!!!Being inthe dark only seeing lights 300ft down then rushing past them at 92 mph!!!Cool!!!!
Just curious, does anyone know where the camera will be??
Also, I love the idea of stobes and fog on the bottom of the drop!!
But its gonna be rad nomatter what CP does with it.
