Night life near CP?

Hi,

Last year, i went to CP and talked to some employees (who are very nice by the way), and one suggested me the BW3 (Buffalo Wild Wings), it's an okay place, the karaoke is very funny, but is there a real place to go out in or near Sandusky?

thanks

Put-In-Bay has good nightlife, but your probably going to be working most of the time anyway. and Detroit and Cleveland are only an hour and a halfish way.

And you can't forget good ol' Louies (Big Island Yacht Club)...Note: If you dislike standing room only, do not go on Thursdays or Sundays....

Yeah as an employee Louie's was close and usually on Thursdays never had a dull moment. Otherwise, I dont believe Sandusky offers much in terms of a night life. I always heard the foam parties were fun when they were put on but I never went so I cant really tell you.

Foam parties are fun... but they can be more crampted than Louies, and you end up cold and wet

Was Louie's still employees only this year? I heard it changed after the former owner died.

Although never a CP employee, we used to go there years ago, before the CP policy, for the extremely cheap beer they had.

I'd rather be in my boat with a drink on the rocks,
than in the drink with a boat on the rocks.

I think it was still employee only. I am trying to remember if when they checked our ids if they also checked to see our tags.

You can not forget Gerolds Old Dutch Tavern...Thursday nights you can get the Dutchburger....it's an amazing steakburger for like 3 dollars....best burger you've ever had. It's also the home of the Yard of Beer...drink 12 yards (or 24 half-yards) during the summer and get a free t-shirt!

so how much is a yard in beer??? Edumakate me

"Mean Streak crew 2004"

Seems as though it is about 24-36 ounces?

Well if you mean cost...I believe its like 7.50, and then 5.50 per refill. The half yard glass holds 24 oz, and the yard holds 48 oz.

I second the dutch, the Beer barrel is not too bad either but you need to bring friends. Cat the bartender / owner of the barrel makes some killer drinks, bring 10-30 of your best friends and let her line up the shots. You will have a good time!!

There are some really nasty bars in Sandusky... Better to stick to the employee bars...

Club X is the most fun. Or try The Underground (it's alot nicer now that it's more of a "rock" bar), may of you old-timers like me might remember it as the Winery. Put-In-Bay. If you're looking for a hole-in the wall, try Terry's Tavern in Bayview.
