Next Year Rumors

These rumors, while not major, I am very certain of as I have heard all of them from my managers.

1. Cedar Point switches to Coke. A "Coke vs. Pepsi" conference was held at Hotel Breakers in July and it seems Coke got the contract for the next few years.

2. Breakers Express expansion. Fairly certain as the complex did sell out most summer nights.

3. Camper Village gets full-hookups. Finally a contractor has been found that can put water and sewage hookups into the flood plain that Cedar Point is on.

All the other rumors regarding new rides, etc. have been discussed before, and are not worth reposting.
NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

No not coke! Doesn't snake river falls have Pepsi all over it? I wonder if it will stay that way?
That is the WORST rumor EVER! Coke better not come to the park, because it doesn't taste good.

LONG LIVE PEPSI!!!!

It seems a lot of stuff in Ohio is sponsored by Pepsi but just about everywhere else it's Coke.I say keep Pepsi! I love the commercials!
COKE
RULES
While I hate to add to the rumor mills, while staying at Breakers East from July 10th-15th I believe, there was actually a lot of people running around the hotel with Coke company uniforms. There was also several coke trucks running around the convention center of the hotel. Finally, I saw them unloading the product marketers and taking them somehwere inside. (The large cans that fill with ice to hold Coke products).
I don't know any more than that though.

That's great news, as far as I'm concerned. Pepsi is way too sweet for me, I'm a big Coke fan. It's about time Coke made it's return to the Point!

Please please please please let it be Coke ... and not just 'cause my wife owns stock :).

Age and treachery will always overcome youth and skill.
Maybe they'll do both :) (Frankly, I'm a Pepsi fan, and a switch would seriously put a damper on my future visits...)
I'd rather have Coke but they really should offer both. Also, they need to Gyros somewhere in the park.

Having both probably isn't an option. I'm sure Coke and Pepsi both require an exclusive contract.

the bigger question is WHO CARES? Coke Pepsi, Kroger brand. All the same overpriced dehydrating sugar water to me. Are there more important and interesting aspects of CP to argue about?

Joe..CP cares!! The drink vendor not only provides CP with refreshments but also "other" lucrative benefits that have to do with bigger "things" at CP..so I for one care!! Believe me that more things were dicussed at breakers that day than just POP!!

I care too, because I prefer Pepsi.....Yeah, baby!
Yeah, they can care so I don't have to. The prices they charge for the swill is a crime anyway.
Hope the Coke rumor is true !!!

Compare the prices for pop at Cedar Point, Jacobs Field (Cleveland Indians), SFO, PKI, and a typical movie theatre. I think you'll find CP has the lowest prices. Sure it's overpriced, but it beats the competition.

Pepsi all the way! Coke, just is'nt as refreshing (even though all pop actualy makes you more thirsty, lol), as Pepsi. It also makes you burp too much. CP needs to stay Pepsi, from a poll I did at my High School, Pepsi won over Coke at a ratio of 7:3. There are Pepsi signs and logo's all over the park, the red white and blue does look better than just the red and white (like sign atop of coasters). I would'nt mind seeing a few Coke machines in the park, or at the hotels, but Pepsi needs to stay, it IS prefered by most people in the mid-west.
