Next year

This season I applied for a job at the po!nt only to be turned down. I guess it was kinda my fault having sent in my application only two weeks before the park opened. Next year I am determined to work there. Anyone have any tips? I guess i should apply right away, but what makes them pick you?

Length of contract is a biggie -- the longer you can work there, the better off you'll be. They don't like to hire someone that will only be there for 5 weeks. If you can work in May, September, or October that's really a plus, but not completely necessary. Plus, what jobs you will accept is a factor. If the only thing you want is to run a ride, and you say that you won't accept other positions, that's not so great. The more flexible you can be, the better. And apply early, for sure! ;)

I was really flexible. But length of contract must have been the biggie as i could get there until the middle of June but would have to leave at the end of august. Next year ill be able to get there a month earlier so that should help.
