Eee! I was kinda glad that the storm didn't go too far north. Another snow day would have meant an extra day into summer for school. So the Chausee is one of two roads that lead to the peninsula, right?

I was just a little confused there. Who else got hit with this awful storm. I heard the south got tornados instead.

Got a lot of rain here in Florida, but no tornados.
How many people live on the chausee in the winter? I always thought those were mostly summer homes.
There are a number of year 'round residents. In the past, Cedar Fair/Point took care of plowing the Chausee. I don't know if that remains the case today.

I just checked the webcam, it doesnt look that bad up there, heck you can still see the curbs around the flower beds on the main midway. Did the park get less snow than other areas?
I'm sure it worse than it looks. It doesn't look too bad here either, but when you get outside, you realize it's snowing and there are wind gusts of 25-35 MPH. We probably have around 12-18 inches of snow, but have snow drifts as high as 5 feet in my front yard.

I live by the Cleveland Zoo and I measured the snow this morning. 90% of my yard is covered in 18" of the fluffy white stuff. My car is at the end of my Driveway and it still took me a half an hour to shovel myself out. I couldn't even open my car door at first. I don't like to ski, but I like the snow. We rarely get stuff like this and I think it's cool. The uncool thing are the people who think they can drive the way they normaly do and get stuck in the middle of the street because they are slamming on the gas spinning their wheels.

It's worse than it looks. There was a lot of wind and that is probably why it didn't stick to the midway much. Most of NW Ohio is under a travel ban, including Erie County. I have the day off due to the ban. With the farms and lack of trees NWOH looks like the tundra today.
Central Ohio got pretty slammed too. As if the 4-5" of snow yesterday wasn't enough we got tons of frozen rain and then more snow last night and this morning. Blech :(
I'm about sick of shoveling out the driveway. It is weather like this that makes me glad I have a 4x4.
Now if all the other drivers would stay away from me I'd have it made! :)
And of course, despite all schools and several companies closing today, my company says business as usual. Figures.
Everyone be careful out there!!!
Spring anyone??? :)

It's all about getting around the barrels, or over the fences, right leads, no faults, fastest time and looking pretty when done. What's so hard about that?
Don't feel bad Jo, I'm at work too. :)

Just think of this....
The Tigers started spring training a few days ago :)
what you've just said is one of the most insanely idiotic things I have ever heard.
Everyone in this room is now dumber for having listened to it.
I award you no points, and may God have mercy on your soul.
