Just took my daily peek at the blog, and they've announced the return of the new Skyhawk cam. It appears to be perched atop SRF.. and it's a much clearer image than what we're used to from the previous park cams.
First click on the cam even caught it in the middle of testing:

2004 - Wicked Twister/Top Thrill Dragster
It is an awesome picture, and now all they have to do is rotate the cam to the left to show Project 2007 later this season.

Although this is the first 2006 weekend blog entry, they had many last year on both Saturday and Sunday.

The new cam is great! The quality is very good compared to the old one. If the tree is indeed blocking it, maybe they'll move it to where I thought they'd move it; the restrooms right next to Skyhawk. They could mount it up there on the second floor.

Tony and Tyler said "there wasn't any other place to put it." Whether that is true or not, I don't know...

I'm sure Cedar Point wouldn't spend $900 on a cam plus installation costs just for Skyhawk. Even if they did it for that, I'm sure once contstruction starts on the ride for 2007 they will rotate the cam anyways.
The cam on Power Tower was pointed at Millennium Force. It was later rotated to show Top Thrill Dragster.
Not only that but they also installed the pee pee cam. :)
