News: Hooters to join Cedar Point food lineup

Bankruptcy doesn't mean they are closing. From what I have seen, plan is to sell company owned franchises to some who owns several franchises and presumably intends to keep the restaurants open.

I mean, I think breastaurants are kinda dumb in the first place, but Hooters' bigger problem is that their food sucks.

I believe that some TV shows have poked fun at the quality of their food.

Also, Hooters is currently under the ownership of private equity firms, in this case Nord Bay Capital and TriArtisan Capital Advisors (the latter also owns TGI Fridays).

As of late, private equity firms have stripped down the businesses they acquire, often loading them with debts (through leveraged buyout) and selling lower quality products or food. Their actions are often compared to the "bust out" scene from the movie Goodfellas.

Of course, Hooters food may have been lousy even before the private equity acquisition in July 2019.

PE ruins everything.

The breaded wings at hooters are good. Hard to beat breaded , fried chicken. I don’t think I’ve had any of their other food other than the fries that come with the wings. I enjoy breaded wings from time to time, from any restaurant. Artery clogging experience no doubt, but they are tasty. Give me a tray of those wings with a hot sauce, a cup of ranch dressing, and tall beers and I’m happy.

Yawn....let me know when a Peckers opens at the park.
