News from the Greentree!!!

Well folks, I can honestly say that a large contingent of employees have done it again!!! I was staying in the penthouse of the Greentree for another 'happy' function which was transpiring at the same time as the employee's Christmas party and I was greeted by the throngs of Cedar Point employees darting about the hotel.

The usual mayhem ensued along with the popular shouting, fights, and drinking bedlam which has accompanied these functions in years past. The management had to make SEVERAL trips to police the establishment, but much to their dismay I believe the efforts were fruitless. Upon my awakening this morning I was greeted by numerous ladders throughout the hotel. Evidentally someone had broken out many of the fiberglass ceiling tiles. In addition, there were blood stains on the lobby tile, from a lanky fellow who decided to "pulverize" one of the walls in the corridor.

I checked out with great haste, and headed back home. I am under the impression that the chaos will revisit again tonite, and with all due respect, my apologies go out to those unsuspecting victims of this event.

I would highly recommend that the function be moved to a different hotel next year, as I'm quite sure the managment will not stand for a third occurence.

I'm sorry though Jason that you were so disturbed like that...they should do something like open up Commons for the employees to stay at for the Christmas party. (Of course I know this is not possible!!) Or else there should be some kind of place that can be for employees only during the weekend, so that they don't disturb other, peace-seeking travelers. (Not really possible either, I know).

Maybe everyone should start bringing sleeping bags and all just end up crashing on the floor of Louie's during the weekend...that's a funny thing to imagine.

That sucks for you and other non-CPers staying at the Greentree Jayson, but well, you know what they say...never underestimate the power of Cedar Point employees in large groups ;-)

The wall and ceiling tile incident were not related to the group of CP people there.. It was another party..

This year people were rather well contained compared to past years from what I heard. Which is good..

Actually, the Greentree was quite impressed with the CP kids that were there, they didnt appreciate all of us being in the hallways, but after talking to the lady at the front desk. She informed me that they were having problems with some drunken adults on saturday night, not us. There were less kids at this xmas party, it was fun, i have some funny pictures, and I'm sorry that Mr. Holloway thinks all of us are nothing but fightin' sloppy drunks who love to destroy hotels. I believe thats Van Halen or Motley Crue, not CP employees.

Well Captain Nate... I do believe the evidence speaks for itself... The girl at the desk was not the manager....

But alas, i'm sure this is all inconsequential... I do know for a fact that it was Cedar Point related as far as the young man who punched the wall in his room. I spoke to him personally. And are you also forgetting the girl who had her glasses broken in two as a result of being pushed into a vending machine? I distinctly remember her comming up to our room asking for scotch tape!

Although I'm sure that these events are commonplace when teenagers and young adults convelesce together while enjoying the intoxicating effects of alcohol, that doesn't justify them.

I agree with cat though... perhaps the festivities should be confined to commons, or even Louies as those venues are better suited to such festivities.

Hahaha..Im the girl that got her glasses broke , but its all good ...I was onley gettin a hug f/ my pal who was a little happy and drunk same as me ...scotch tape or super glue dident work ...hehe and im proud of my black eye its my first and a very memorable one at that :) ..

I had to be in the churh xmas play Sunday and every1 already knew b4 i walked in what had happend ..hehehe they a were all bugging me saying "watch out for them pop machines they can be mean"...Hey haley rember the bed incident at Daves room...opps i dident think that bed would tip like that....

I'm really glad I stayed at the Radisson :) Crystal and I were able to enjoy the the drunken festivities while knowing that if we got kicked out, we had a place to go back too :)
