Look at that sexy beast Tony! hahahaha

I liked how at the beginning they showed footage of Cedar Point's rides, but i was dissapointed at how half of the footage they showed, was old and before dragster was even built. Still a pretty good show to get you ready for the new season though.

I was really disappointed in the whole show...except for Cedar Point being in there.

I'm waiting for the 11:00 show to come on. I love seeing these shows. Tony is right about how much work goes into these shows. I remember back when they were filming the "World's Largest Amusement Park" I remember that there were a lot of disappointed people, becasue they ended up on the editing room floor and not the big screen. They spent so much time filming that they could have easily made made that 1 hour show a 3 hour show.

I missed it....but good thing i TiVo'ed it.

Well here is what I thought of the show.

It, for me, mite have been one of the best amusement park shows I have seen in a while. Why? Well the fact that the TV show did not pick the rides or parks to be the best, in stead they just got the footage and used the "Golden Ticket Awards" kind of like a guide for them. Some of the footage (for CP) was old and some was as new as MaXair. You have to admit there was a lot of CP clips not only in the show but one of the commercials for the show had only CP clips in it. I even learned some stuff I did not know before. Also according to the "Golden Ticket Awards" I am happy to say I have ridden the top 3 steel coasters in the world. To some that mite not sound interesting at all, but for me I have been to a total of 3 parks (one of witch is small and I have not been there in 4 years) and the other two of them combined have the top 3 steel coasters.

***Sorry if there is any spelling mistakes and or grammar mistakes in there I must of checked it like 20 times and I still have a feeling I made a mistake.***

RIDE ON, and ON and ON and ON and ON and ON...

Good job Tony.

Just to add one more comment, I think the park needs to update their B-Roll footage. Nothing like good ole Demon Drop footage from 1985. The same old Magnum footage with the two girls screaming going over the second hill and the employee behind her wearing his blues jacket. Lets not forget the footage of the the MF train cresting the lift hill with Ray sitting in the second seat. Hey lets not forget that Raptor one with the asian looking girl sitting on the end of the car after the train drops off the midcourse. Hey how about snake river falls where that kid turnsaround right as the wave hits the bridge. I know i'm not the only one who can sit here and rattle off countless B-roll clips that we have all seen 1000s of times before. *** Edited 3/25/2006 5:07:33 AM UTC by Frank Sinatra***

Oh and BTW, good job Tony! It's good to see a PointBuzzer on a show.

I think to a certain point it needs to be updated, but it is kept well up-to-date with new attractions and what not. I think a lot of it is that it's also the B-Roll that the production company, whoever that might be, already as on file, likely from previous shows that have been produced.

Overall good show, although I felt they spent a lot more time elaborating on the "smaller" awards and then blew through the #1 park and waterpark in less than 5 minutes.

I didn't know IOA was #2 for best park. Now I've been to the top two parks in the world. Doubt I'll be making it to Europe for #3 anytime though.

Let's not forget the person who watches these clips one to many times. :)

The show was the best I've seen on Travel Channel. They usually ramble on about a ride or park that isn't really considered the best. Any program that features TTD is a good one.

Not a bad show, but it should have gone into more detail about the best water park and best amusement park. Still, some nice footage and a lot of water park rides that are usually not filmed in such detail.

Did anyone else catch that the footage of Sandusky was actually Put-In-Bay? A shot of downtown PIB, in front of Pasquale's Restaurant I thnk, and also the Perry Monument. The "sleepy" small town that they showed instead of Sandusky is not at all sleepy!

I'd rather be in my boat with a drink on the rocks,
than in the drink with a boat on the rocks.

Yeah Pete I caught that too.

Where were you in there Tony?! I tivo-ed the show and I can't say I saw you. You'll have to point yourself out to me and tell me what part you were on.

ahhhhh...I'm soo mad at myself, I started watching it and fell asleep about 1/2 way through it. I did see the part with Tony and Millennium though. Good Job! I guess I'll have to try to catch the show again tomorrow.
