It may be that since those are further out from the middle (i.e. along the perimeter) that they don't need to start there. This section may have track to go above it. Also, that section is right along the trees, meaning they can only get to it from this side. So it makes sense to start there and build outward.

One thing that has been interesting to me is the order in which things are being done.
That is interesting, because the the tallest of those A Frame supports was just put up yesterday at about 10:00a.m.
Yes, I was bored so I watched it.
R.I.P. Mr. Scott
With all this twisted track, do you think there is any chance of them planting some trees around the area again? I miss the days when rides actually had landscaping. I'm getting the feeling that the only landscaping we'll be seeing is a couple shrubs around a big ball of steel. Maybe they should change the name to Industrial Town.

I'm sure they will landscape the area in any way possible. It won't just be a barren wasteland with a ride on it.
When Magnum and Mean Streak were built, they had tiny little trees around them too. Now look at them. Trees take time to grow. I've always thought CP was one of the nicest landscaped parks I'd been to. (second to Disney of course)
Disney Rules. :)
I took some pics the other day that prove there is some pretty scenery at CP, I'd love for someone to say that there isn't. Then again, that means I would have to shrink the pictures and upload them, so maybe not.
^
There isn't and you can't prove it.
;)
I almost forgot. From the speculations by the obviously informed interviewees I think the ride will be named "Something Big Western" and have a huge neon cowboy on top that has a moving arm.

I just went by there about an hour ago and they have added 2 more pieces of track. I also saw that the SpeedChannel trucks that go from Nascar race to race was there today. They have there decked out tractor trailors near the marina side.

Maverick/whatever should be sponsored by Arby's. Not the new kind, though. One of the "old-fashioned" ones with the hundred-gallon hat out front. :)
They still have one up in Traverse City. I liked that sign, too bad most of the locations have moved away from it.

^ Lol
^^ I wonder what Speed trucks are doing there. Maybe they're running a spot on Dragster or something? Unfortunately, I can't come up with any feasible link between the trucks and the new coaster though.
Well, Cedar Point is on the way between Watkins Glen and MIS. Could be the guys in the trucks wanted to stop of for day of rest and relaxing coaster rides.
