It just looks so nice, even if there are only 2 pieces on there!

Where do you get "2 more days" from?

what you've just said is one of the most insanely idiotic things I have ever heard.
Everyone in this room is now dumber for having listened to it.
I award you no points, and may God have mercy on your soul.

No big deal but, there is a small typo in the awnser to the first question. I'm assuming stell = steel.

I hope this roller coaster is 500 foot to me because cedar point started this construction early.

He said:

While I would enjoy a large, record-breaking coaster, I understand that nothing contained within the construction site indicates that this ride will meet those expectations, so I will continue to silently hope for another large coaster in the future. I am really looking forward to this ride, regardless of its height, as I understand that to be irrelevant in terms of the overall enjoyment factor.

Brandon

Over the past year Cedar Point has gone to great lengths to try and reinvent itself to make it more appealing to the FAMILY. How appealing is a 500 foot coaster to members of a typical family? I'd say not very appealing.

Frankly, I hope this coaster isn't 500 feet and I hope they don't hit that mark for some time to come. There are better and more creative ways to spend that kind of money.

Thanks for clearing that up, djDaemon. ;)

Nice article. Won't it be surprising when CP unveils "Something Western" as the new ride for 2007. ;)

I especially like the captions for the pictures. Ctrl+C, Ctrl+V...

One thing that has been interesting to me is the order in which things are being done. Far be it from me to know much about the milestones and critical path of a project like this, but the order that the supports have gone up and the piece of track that was installed first has me intrigued as much, or moreso, than the ride itself. I'm quite curious as to how things will progress.

Oh, and John - I go both ways. Here's a translation of what I just wrote back into Noobish:

OMG!!!111!!!1 That track is red, and so is TTD's!!!!11! I can't wate until the 500' lift elevator is built and the tunnulz are doug!!!111!

Brandon

"Oh, and John - I go both ways."

What a self-confident statement. You go!

I knew there was a reason he had a Father's Day trip report. ;)

I am also very puzzled by where they started to install track.

Ride-on

My guess (based on info gleaned here and just common sense) is that is the lowest middle spot on the ride. Start in the center and build your way up and out. Especially for something that will be as twisted as I hope this one will.

I can always count on the maturity of my fellow PointBuzzer's. ;) Oh, and Chief - flattery will get you nowhere.

Added:
I can see that logic, John. But, there are several other sections of track that appear to be lower, based on the support height.

Brandon

Maybe they installed the lowest section of track that they had. It's possible that the lower stuff hasn't shown up yet.
