Went tonight, driving mostly through the pouring rain and got there about 10 minutes before they closed. We got soaked just going from the car to the pass office, but we were in and out with no wait at all. Last year I think I waited close to an hour, but that probably is thanks to going on a sunny Saturday morning.

Has anybody heard when Meijer will start selling season passes? Here in Toledo they usually have them by now.
Here in Columbus they usually have them by now as well, but they do not. They told me to keep calling as the workers said they never get told when they are coming, they just appear one day, and viola.
I would get the local number and call every once in a while. Thats my plan down here.
I have a question about getting my season pass. When I go to get my picture taken, will they print off my ID right there, or is it like getting your license where it takes time and they mail it to you?
I suggest that you go to the season pass center before opening day to get your pass activated.
On opening day/ weekend, the line gets to be in upwords of 4 hours +.
what you've just said is one of the most insanely idiotic things I have ever heard.
Everyone in this room is now dumber for having listened to it.
I award you no points, and may God have mercy on your soul.
In the past they've always punched your pass on the side, but this year, because of the design (with the Joe Cool, Geauga Lake, and Soak City circles on the side), they have to punch them on the top. I really don't like this, and those of you that have to where such IDs at work know that they break easier and have a greater tendency to get caught on things when they're punched at the top rather than the side... :(

Just don't wear them. I never saw the need to wear my season pass. I don't see why others do?
If anyone wants to see what a SP looks like with parking pass and JCC, look at my profile.

Hmmm...I liked last year's pass better. Mine will be like yours, except for the photo of course, as the parking pass will be on my pass.
By the way, if anyone will be there getting their pass next week (Saturday the 29th) I will be there really early. So if anyone else will be there in the morning it would be cool to meet up with someone. I'll also be at Castaway Bay afterwards (99% sure), so you could look for me there as well. *** Edited 4/23/2006 1:05:49 AM UTC by BlueStreak64***

Three things you need to fix anything in the universe: duct tape, WD-40, and a hammer. Duct tape if it moves and it shouldn't, WD-40 if it doesn't move and should, and the hammer as the last resort.
If you actually intend to use the perks it gives (besides ert), then it's definatly worth the extra $15.

Maybe I'll just renew my old 2005 pass and add Joe Cool on to it.
You do realize though that you'll have to get a 2006 pass that looks like that. You can't just use last year's pass again.
As for Joe Cool, I was sorely dissapointed that they didn't offer anything new in terms of perks this year. :(

My first trip to Cedar Point will be Sunday, May 7th. I printed out my season pass voucher with Joe Cool, but I have a question. Since the season pass center opens at 9, and ERT starts at 9, does this mean I won't be able to get it any sooner? I'm going to arrive at 8:45 so if I have to wait for the Season pass center do open to you think I can get into the park by 9:10? *** Edited 4/23/2006 3:34:03 AM UTC by ttdboy111***

But it will be the day after Opening Day. Opening Day tends to have huge lines for season passes, and the Sunday after is usually just a little bit better. If the line is short, very short, as in no line, you might get into the park by 9:15-9:20. But you could be waiting for up to an hour. We were there today, with no line it took us 20 minutes to get our passes. Let's just say you'll be very lucky to get in by 9:10.

Last year they did end up opening the Season Pass Center about 30 minutes earlier than scheduled on opening day. My friend was first in that line, and I was suprised when he ended up coming in the gate right behind me. Of course, opening early is no guarantee, but it does happen.

I have a general question about the season pass.
If I get a parking pass option, can I use this at other Cedar Fair parks too? I know the pass can be used, but does this apply to parking at...say...Dorney Park?
No, but it can be used at Geauga Lake (if you have the Geauga Lake add-on) and pay an additional charge. Other than that, no, it may not be used at other parks.

Which ticks me off, by the way. Buy a Seson Pass and still pay $7.00-$9.00 everytime you visit a CF park? That's total crap. It really doesn't affect me at CP, cause I stay On Point, but it hits my pocketbook while visiting Michigan's Adventure.
Just thought I'd mention that.
