Seems cool, but it will be even better if I win.
Is it just me or is that an amazing picture on this years calender.

It's fantastic - one of the best they've ever had.
That's one sweet picture. Look at some of those prizes. Wow. Behind the scenes tour? Lunch with Jasper himself? Invitation to media events?! That's awesome.
It makes me wonder, though. Why would they start something like this, and why now? Is it just the right time?

Why not do something like this... The point is really catering to the buffs with these contests...
I think starting it now is a perfect time to introduce this, they can gradually make the prizes bigger and better as the year progresses...
I'm going for the lunch with Jasper for sure... I'm interested not only in the rides but one day having a similar career.. Meeting him on frontier trail this year was really cool.. and I would love to sit down and pick his brain. He can rest assured I would not even dare approach the topic of whats coming in 2007. *** Edited 1/24/2006 2:12:12 AM UTC by Coastern3rd***
I like this idea. I can't wait to see what other prizes they will have in the future. I've already got the new poster, but I guess it's worth getting another... :) *** Edited 1/24/2006 3:23:00 AM UTC by DBCP***

I've got a poster en route to me right now, can't wait to get it. Lunch with Monty would be excellent.
We'll miss you MrScott and Pete
Can someone tell me where I can find some of the recent calendars (like 2004 and 2005)? I already have the 2003 Dragster one (cause it fits my room:)) and I got it through ebay.
Will they also sell the calendar at some of the stores like SpeedZone during the season? Because if I don't win the contest, which is a 10000% chance;), then I'll just buy it.

They are usually sent out to friends of the park/company (ie: the media), so no I don't believe they have them in gift shops (atleast I've never seen them...). There is currently one up for bid on E-Bay if you search for it. I have the 2003, 2005, and 2006 calendars, but I too, would like to get the 2004 calendar, which I've never even seen. *** Edited 1/24/2006 3:44:05 AM UTC by DBCP***

I have 2000, 2001, has 2002 but gave it to my friend for Christmas, almost got 2003 but was outbid, and 2006 is on its way. What was on the 2004 and 2005 calendars?

The 2005 poster was taken from the air and shows Magnum's station on the bottom and Top Thrill Dragster above.

I got the 2005 calender in the park services building by the main gate. As I was walking out, I needed to pick up my map of the park that I collect and the lady offered me a calender. It was cool, but 2005 only had 2 months to go. I didn't get much use of it.
The picture on the 2005 calender is the same as the picture on the 2004 park map.

So there's definatly no way to find one at the park? The internet(ebay) is the only real option?

I got the 06 one on ebay, a bunch of people are selling them. It came yesterday and has found a happy spot on my wall :). Some people will try to rip you off so make sure you find the cheapest one before bidding.

2007/2008/2009: Walt Disney World - Magic Kingdom - Tomorrowland Speedway
2008: Hard Rock Park - Maximum RPM! Opening Supervisor
2008/2009: Universal Orlando - Men in Black: Alien Attack Team Leader, Guest Services Coordinator
You can usually find them getting rid of the extra calanders closer to the end of the season each year. As mentioned about, Guest Services at the front gate was giving out 2005 posters for free durring one of the last Halloweekends of the year last year. I think they gave away free 2003 posters with the purchase of a 2004 season pass.
And then one day you find ten years have got behind you
No one told you when to run, you missed the starting gun
With the way they're going on eBay, I ought to sell mine. ;) I could make some good money.
Also: Poor Jasper, and all the questions he will have to answer if he gets anyone off Pointbuzz. Poor Poor Jasper.
