Newbie!

Hi guys, im new to point buzz and hoping to be a new employee at cp! I have a few questions maybe someone can help me with. 1st how will I tell if my application has been viewed? I did it straight from the cp website and it says the application is active until the end of 2013.. Is that the message that will change when someone looks it over? Also, my job preference was ride host, photos, or anything else. I've had manager expierence before and marked that on the application. Will this get me considered for shift lead type positions although I've never worked at an ammusement park? Thanks for the help!

1. You can tell if your application has been viewed because it will tell you once you sign in. It will tell you the date and who reviewed it.
2. Yes that message will change when someone reviews your app.
3. I've never worked in rides, but other ride hosts have said in other posts that first year ride hosts don't get supervision, and if they do it's rare and later in the season. As for ride photo, I've worked in merchandise and our supervision was also 2nd and 3rd year employees.

Sonya pretty much covered it, but I just wanted to clarify that if you do get hired into rides, even though you have supervision experience that you'll just be a red tag. There are chances throughout the season to be promoted, I worked with someone who became Team Leader of Sweeps her first season.

One more question! Do you think that because I put on the application I would work anywhere that other divisions of the park might look over the application? I see now that Cedar point has a custard store, which is where I got my expierence as a manager.

You would have to have foods as one of your choices for that to happen (the custard stands are apart of foods obvi. ha) I worked at one for two seasons. Foods is a lot different than other departments. Many first year employees got promoted. My supervisor was a 1st year employee. So putting foods as one of your choices would be the best solution.
