Hi! I'm Savannah, I'm new to cedar point this year and ill be in the games department!
I looked over the housing options and i have NO idea which housing to choose. I'm without a car so i know on point housing is probably wise, but community bathrooms kinda seems like a downfall? the dorms i live in now in college are just 3 roommates and a shared bathroom.
also, being in an entire dorm of girls seems like a dramafest ;) but i really want to meet new people and have some fun.
i start may 24th, add me on facebook! https://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=674796411
Commons apartments are 16 girls to a room, sharing 2 bathrooms that you are responcible to clean and maintain. They also have an outdated kitchen, a stove and a fridge and that's it. It only has air conditioning in the living room, so bedrooms get very hot.
Commons dorms are 3 different buildings 1300s 1400s and 1500s. 1300s is all female, 1400s is all male, and 1500s is gender by wing. They have air conditioning in each room, and a community bathroom that gets cleaned daily. The rooms fit 3-4 people and have closet lockers to lock all of your things up in.
Golds is all female on point housing, it's the quietist of all of the housing options, no air conditioning and community bathrooms too.
Cedars is the male equivalent of golds.
Bayside is gender by apartment with 6-9 people per apartment. It's like commons apartments, just nicer. There is only one ac unit in the living room and one bathroom

I have lived in Common Dorms all three summers I have worked at Cedar Point. In my opinion, Common Dorms are the best choice. I lived in Bayside while doing set - up and tear down, and I rather live in Common Dorms any day.

common dorms. community bathrooms are really not bad at all - so long as you go shortly after they have been cleaned or before every other girl gets in there. even in college i was terrified of community bathrooms, but it didn't bother me once at CP. i'd suggest commons 1300s just because it's 3 to a room, instead of 4. i lived in the 1500s my first season and 1300s my second..i definitely liked 1300s better. apartments are hot, and can get dirty and just...yuck - plus are way outdated, not that the dorms are too updated, but i think you'll enjoy the overall experience way better in common dorms.
just because you don't have a car doesn't mean you can't live off point. a lot of people do it.. just take the bus, or catch a ride with someone on your crew/in your department.

Just for reference. Is the 1400 building the building closer to the rec center?

Imagine your favorite tv show. You've been through it all. The ups, the downs, the crazy coincidences and then bang! They tell you what it's all about. Would you be happy? Does it make sense? How come it all ended in a church? - Joker
