I have mentioned time and again that I appreciate what JEFF does here. He has made a site that blows away most of the other stuff I see out there. This and URC are my two daily stops. Why? Because they are both done by guys who care about their site and spend every ounce of their free time trying to please us. Cedar Point's site is also TRYING to please us and I feel they have done an outstanding job. Like Jeff said, when was the last time this much attention has been given to a new attraction by the web page? Mantis had a few nice construction pix, but it was hardly updated like the MF page. I am enjoying the coverage both here and at the official site and I will continue to do so without requesting that the park move the web cam to a "better location".
On the "MF car photo" front- I was highly disturbed by the "I have pix.... but you can't see them" game that was going on. Like many of us here, I too had ridden Superman: Ride of Steel, so I pretty much knew what to expect. Jeff said many times that if you look at his picture from SROS, you'd get a good idea of what the cars look like..... just add headrests. Yet- the posts continued to build. "Well, I have these really awesome pictures of the cars, but I can't post them or e-mail them to anyone"..... "God the cars look great- I wish you could see them". THAT was what irked me the most and caused my little bit of anger in the post above. All that did was cause numerous problems and arguments, and even Jeff got into the spirit of things when someone sent him unwanted pictures.
So, since I have calmed down considerably now, I would like to just say please appreciate what we have here. There's only 119 days to go. Go see the new "Magic of Flight" movie at the Omnimax Theater (if you live in Cleveland), go tobogganing in Strongsville, or like Jeff said- go bowling (funny you mentioned that Jeff- I am going tomorrow night!). We WILL make it through the off-season.
