New "valuable" lost article policy?

Actually, I like Pete's idea.

You’re absolutely ridiculous.

But is isn't ridiculous to quote a post made well over a year ago?

I guess your customer powers will get your phone back.

I second Pete's idea.

Blue Streak shutdown on opening weekend so the crew could retrieve a patron's bandanna. A freaking bandanna! Apparently the patron was throwing a fit over a $2 piece of fabric and the supervisor made the decision to shut down the ride instead of having them escorted away. The employee retrieving it was pissed off about it, and I don't blame them one bit.

I am surprised there is not a policy in place anymore regarding shutting a ride down to scavenge for lost items. Seems medical items should be the only exception. If there was a policy it would be easier to deal with such ridiculous cases.

Without policy...

If someone who doesn't want to smoke in designated area throws a fit, they can smoke whereever?

If someone wears a lewd shirt but want to keep it displayed throws a fit, they can continue showing it?

If someone caught line Jumping throws a fit, they can keep their place in line?

But thankful doesn't happen. With solid polices in place, CPPD will escort them to the nearest exit. Same should be for this. All these polices benefit the overall park guests experience , and not shutting down a ride for an hour to look for a bandanna is right there with them.

Sadly, I can say from personal experience that taking a ride down to get something trivial has morphed into accepted practice. Not sure when or why it changed. Used to be only for something medical or sometimes prescription glasses. Perhaps they’re now afraid that if someone makes a stink, they’ll possibly jump a fence to restricted area. I don’t know. Regardless, it’s unfortunate.

At Busch Gardens, on Tempesto, I noticed a large basket full of something at the entrance to the ride. It turned out to be waist bags for riders to borrow for their ride. They were lightweight mesh bags and big enough for keys, billfolds, phones, smokes, etc. I thought it was an awesome idea.
