Enough said.......
I enjoy going to the RGS to watch the shows.....they're quite entertaining. I think seeing how they set up the technical stuff for the shows is pretty neat. That way, I can go to the park, watch the show and think to myself (or yell it out to some random person) "I SAW THEM SET UP THAT EXACT STAGE.....RIGHT OVER THERE!!!!" :)

I enjoy every blog cause it lets me see a side of the park I have never personally experienced (as well as the added bonus of a Maverick update). Thank you Tony and Tyler!

In my last post I was just trying to say what has been going on, and what loneranger7281 may have been thinking. I appreciate all that the park does as well as this site and others like it. Yes, sometimes there is a long time before an update, and some updates are not that interesting but I always appreciate the park doing stuff like this for people like us.
Amen from me too

RIDE ON, and ON and ON and ON and ON and ON...
Sometimes people have good things to say about the park, sometimes people have bad things to say about it. This place wouldn't be very interesting if all we did was rave about everything the park does...
On a side note, does anyone know when rehearsals for these shows start or started?
Thrills Around the Corner!
There's a difference between criticism and entitlement. Blog-whining gets really old. It's different than complaining about the cost of Pepsi, or how many food chains there are. Plus, if you are going to criticize, you have to accept that your opinions are also open to criticism.
I believe they practice in a one week work-a-thon, ending with a dress rehearsal the night before the show opens. They probably get the music and such before that, though.
Man, Pepsi is getting expensive! ;)

If you look at the blogs when it first started out they were really informative and they did them frequently.
Amen brother, I hate to add flame to the fire...but why exactly were there so many to start with and now we are lucky to get what, more then 4 a month? We they started, we were getting 4 a week. So why the big change?
When the blog first started, didn't they have jobs and responsibilities to do then? Or did they neglect them?
Look, I don't care either way. I love the blogs, don't get me wrong, and I enjoy reading them. If they posted once a month, thats cool. I just know where loneranger is coming from.

I just read that, and the third comment about the stupid webcams...
I wonder which unappreciative high school idiot on this site posted each of those comments...
If I were T and T right now, I'd not do the OnPoint anymore. People are so unappreciative, and it always, always, always seems to come from either A: someone who just joined Pointbuzz, or B: a whiny brat who won't be happy until they name a rollercoaster after them.
Word of advice: get a job. Even better: try out a job in Cedar Point's PR department, two weeks before open.

Haha... T&T put the smack down on that 2nd comment. Completely necessary though on their part... people need to just relax. Since when did the PR/Marketing department become our personal liaison to the park? They aren't "responsible" for telling us anything other than what they do in the form of press releases... and that's part of their job. The fact that they do this blog is a bonus to everyone (and a great marketing tool ;) )When we get a post, be happy, when we don't, or you aren't interested in the topic... and you are angry... go ride a POV video, speculate on Project 2012 and keep your complaining to yourself... *** Edited 4/26/2007 12:50:32 PM UTC by Josh M.***

As Humans we always want more then what we get. In this case we want more information (when I say we, I mean we as humans, not necessarily me). It is understandable that they are busy with the parks opening, but then they are the marketing department and the blog is marketing. I love Cedar Point, and I will continue to go to the park, read the web page, and enjoy the informaion that they do post. This is what Cedar Point does, start out wth a bang and slowly goes down hill. Just seems 10 minutes a week to a new blog is a very inexpensive marketing cost to keep people going to their web page.

Question: How do you explain the actions of millions of people who wait hours upon hours to be dropped down a hill?
Answer: You don't...

I found it interesting that in the pics they seem to be hanging a crystal or glass prism of some sort. Oddly similar to the prism on the Dark Side of the Moon album cover. Maybe not interesting to anybody else, but it certainly piqued my interest in the show they're talking about.
I believe that the prism that you are talking about is actually the ladder he is standing on up in the balcony . After I read your post I had to take a second look myself.

not to bring up a sore subject from earlier in this thread, but it is very frustrating to hear many of the negative comments about the T&T update. as a member of live entertainment department. it is very frustrating to hear that people think this update is insignificant. Live E staff puts in countless hours putting up all of the shows for the season, and its a ton of work. there are people who come to the park just for the shows, so this would be very interesting to them as well as some of the other employees.
please think about the other people who read these things before you post.
And the garter lighting looks Amazing!!!!!!!11
Imagine if you will. . .
The year 1983 . .
We see our first advertisement, not even one month before Cedar Point Opens.
Some scary deathdefying ride, we have no idea what the ride looks like, what it does, only ...
That it's name is Demon Drop.
So we better go there to see what it is. Never in the year any ride opened, back then did we even know if it was a rollercoaster, a twirly ride or anything until we showed up to see it.
Stop Picking on Tony and Tyler, were lucky today.
GATEKEEPER-I came, I rode, I was mildly disappointed; until a second ride (rear left) put GateKeeper back on the...it's a nice ride list.
