Hey I'm a second year and I'm still currently waiting for my email lol. Buy cedar point is a great place to work. The weather is pretty crazy ( extremely hot and awkwardly cold) so I would recommend purchasing a wind suit from wardrobe and maybe a sweater too. But not all at the same time, because it will kill your first check. I would recommend staying in the dorms. Last yea i stayed in the 1500s and I loved it because it has a/c and heat and not so many people like the apartments. I would pack lightly because the rooms seen so big. Maybe bring a tv a mini fridge and a microwave, but make sure your roommates don't bring all the same things lol. You won't really spend a lot of time there, it merely just a place to sleep. Bring things like twin size bed linens, shower shoes, a few outfits, towels, food and money to purchase food because it will be a little minute before you get a check. I would recommend setting up direct deposit when process in because I'm from Michigan and my bank isn't in Ohio so I didn't want to pay fees to cash my check. There's a busy that goes to Walmart, Meijer, and the mall so you won't have to worry about finding a ride to purchase things. Also there are so many taxi companies that just sit in commons parking lot. Also when you process in make sure you all your forms of identification ( license/ id, social security card ) because they won't let you process in with out it. I've seen so many people have to drive back home to Michigan etc just to get those forms. I think this is pretty much everything, but if you have any questions feel free to keep posting!!!! Last but not least remember to have fun !!!!!
Thanks! :) yeah I already plan on rooming with one of my friends that is going to work at Cedar Point as well. And I'm bringing my car. So my question is where exactly do I go when I'm processing in? They say to human resources but I have no clue where that is. Or where the dorms are. And I'm hoping to be staying in the 1300s because I heard that is the rooms that have a single bed in it along with a bunk bed. What position were you last year?
When you come into the park, go to the toll that's the furthest on the left, you'll tell them that you're processing in and they'll let you go. Follow perimeter road and you'll pass the main parking lot, and then you'll see a security booth on your left, turn in there, HR is on your right.
1500's also have 3 occupancy rooms on the old side. :)

Thanks so much! :) and I have another question. (sorry for all the questions by the way)
Okay so on my job offer it says I start 4/30 and I proccess in 4/29 and I have 3 training classes all on 4/29 but in the website it says not to have your classes the same day as processing in or something like that. And my background check was complete yesterday and it says to wait 10 days until I schedule my proccesing in date but my manager, Brian, already scheduled me for all of that. I'm just a little confused.
Gab3, your manager should have scheduled your classes for you. In any case, you do have to be processed into the company in order to attend the classes.
Ashley, you'll probably end up living in the Bayside apartments until Commons opens. If you really want to, you can move once commons open.
