New ride announcement... place your bets!

But if they're waiting for things to calm down, they're going to be waiting a long time! It doesn't seem to be slowing down other companies with news releases. Look at PR Newswire ... hundreds of press releases just this morning.

If anything, in light of recent events, they're probably wishing they had announced early, like with Millennium Force.  They probably are not going to get great coverage from the media at this point.

The more obvious thing is that, in a year where attendance is low, you don't want to give people any reason to "wait until next year."

Over at Coasterbuzz, someone posted something about the devil. Then someone else replied to it by saying that the new ride had to do with the devil...

Why not announce a ride based on the devil on Halloween? But then why have a coaster having to do with the devil and change a name that has to do with a banshee...and why keep a ride with the name "demon" in it?

So many unanswered questions! WHY! :)

According to Coasternet, an affiliate of Coasterbuzz, the announcement will be on Oct. 18th. If this is true, raptorluva is right.

I don't want to build any false hopes up, but I will definitely be all over the internet this Thursday just in case. :)

my best guess is oct 30 or 31because if it has to do with the devil(or allhollow's eve or devils night )

but i don't know .....

I just hope we don't have a repeat of last year when we found out a CP landmark was disappearing after it was too late to say goodbye.

For the last time... I don't know when the announcement will be and frankly the park only has a target range of days, not a specific date.
