New Ride...

Really Corey?

Theres a ride thats taller than TTD? I must have missed that one, where, pray tell would this non-existent coaster exist? Besides in your mind?

------------------
Every beginning, has an end.

There are no real roller coasters taller and faster than TTD. In Florida, there is a drag-racing simulator that goes faster than 120 mph, but it doesn't move up or down and it's only like 800 feet like (600 feet are used for braking). Nothing spectacular!

G-Force at Old Town. I heard it is only running at 0~110 MPH in ~1.8 seconds.

Screamscape had something about it building up to 130 MPH but I haven't heard anything official.

Eddy the retard is awesome.

Screamscape says that G-Force in Florida is running at 110mph to break in the motors but will eventually reach 130mph making it the fastest 'thrill ride'. TTD will still be the fastest coaster. Also, NASCAR drivers could claim that they have the fastest thrill rides. Northwest Airlines could claim they have the fastest thrill rides flying at 600mph! I don't think the fastest 'thrill ride' is a true record. But anyways, I don't think that the G-Force ride would be all that exciting. You can get in a car on the autoban and go faster.

I sure hope the antique cars don't go. A new coaster in its place would look ugly and they probably would tear out all the trees. I hope CP gets a flyer in 2005. It could fly over Millennium Island. It would be really awesome if they got a flyer that swooped down over the lake.

I don't know where chica got the idea that CP buys in 3s. They bought 3 Intamins. They only bought 2 B&Ms. 1 Vekoma. (Woodstock's Express). I don't see a

I would love to see a new coaster at cp for next year but it probally will not happen. but insted of a flyer I would rather see a floorless or a 4-D. Maybe inside of mean streak.

I said Top Thrill Dragster isn't the fastest ride in the world anymore. If they would go for the fastest coaster record in 2007 height would most likely go with it.
Instead of another coaster, I would like to see a ride like Spiderman at IoA. That ride, by far, is the best non-coster ride my wife and I have ever been on. It also does close another gap that CP is somewhat missing- a dark ride. When TTD was first being introduced this past spring it was mentioned, many times, that it is unlikely that another park will be building a coaster taller than TTD. I am no physics major, but I would have to guess that it also means faster as well. The way I am looking at it, and if someone knows better-please let me know- TTD is 420 ft tall, and the train is going about 30 mph over the top hat, and it comes back down 120mhp. I am assuming that it would take a coaster that is taller than 420 to ever be faster than TTD, or have it lanuched as well. It would be hard to imagine a park building a 500 ft. coaster with a conventional lift hill just to beat TTD.

I don't think that any park could go any faster than 120 mph, because people couldn't take it. What do you think?
I'm sure they could fit a coaster in around Antique Cars without removing the ride.

They managed to fit Rapor in without removing that car ride(can't remember the name).

Cadillac Cars is the name of it (and some of Turnpike Cars).

I don't think we will see any traditional-lift coaster over 400+ feet for quite some time. A chain would take too long to get you up there.

For having a price tag equivalent to 10 Millennium Forces or a 1/4 billion dollars, Spiderman better be one of the best non-coaster rides ever...

I don't see Cedar Fair doing anything even close to that scale because they just couldn't justify its cost.

If they tried to build a record breaking floorless in that same area, it just wouldn't work because the ride would be too tall so it would ruin the environment back there.

People said that when MF was being built. I think everyone would agree that MF didn't ruin the environment of the Frontier Trail. The turnpike cars were shortened due to Raptor. I don't think Cadillac Cars affected.

True with regards to MF, but that is more or less an out and back with many straight portions of track that jump in and out of secluded areas of the park, with the exception of the final turn over the queues. If something were to be built on Antique Cars' plot of land, it would have to be a much more compact design because it is bordered by various sections of the midway as well as other rides. There wouldn't be any secluded parts of the park for it to jump to, making it totally visible from the surrounding area. To build the tallest flyer the park would only have to go just over 100 feet tall, but if they wanted to build the tallest floorless they would have to go substantially higher. The higher you go, the more room you have to have to have adequate pull-outs.

A floorless might be able to work in that area, but I just think that the frontier environment could work much better with a flyer.

But if CP takes out the cars the population would go down! What will the kids and parents say and think about that. Even though there are more cars.

I would like to to see a twister woddie like Twister II or the Flying Coaster like at Six Flags Elitch Gardens!

Cedar Point would have to be drunk or just plain old stupid to put in the Flying Coaster like the one in Denver. That's just insane, and would lead to many many unhappy customers.

Why?

Because the Zamperla flyers are universally regarded as the third best of the three designs.

It's not war, famine, or pestilence; it's only downtime.

I didn't realize that Swan Boats might be out of CP. I heard the CP might be moving the Antique Cars, possibly to MIA. That part of the park would be a nice setting for a small scale..classic style wood coaster. Something like cyclone or along those lines.

i would doubt that CP would put two woodies in one section of the park, but the classic idea would be great(i think Blue Streak is more fun than Meak streak). but if the swan boat rumor is true, would they drain that?

The swan boat removal is no longer a just a rumor it is a fact.
