There isn't one. There was too much yacking on that particular train and it got too loud. ;)
You said no screaming, you never said anything about yacking!!! ;)

It's all about getting around the barrels, or over the fences, right leads, no faults, fastest time and looking pretty when done. What's so hard about that?

Why is there a strange sound throughout Raptor and at the brake run of TTD? Just curious. The mic on the camera is not broadcast-quality, so you're hearing a "tinny" interpretation of vibration and sound. Plus, the tether attached to the camera may have been moving around.
Actually we were sharing a bag of potato chips during the ride--that's what you heard! ;)

Well, it's quite simple really. My job is to make sure that guests remain interested in Cedar Point even when they're not here. POV videos are a great way to "take the park with you" at home...to experience a ride that you love all over again. It may not be the same feeling, but it's the next best thing. Not to mention it's pretty cool what we can now do with video cameras that size.
We do hope to make them all available for download for your portable video playing device in 2010.
If only all parks did this then maybe people would stop trying to bring cameras on the rides (and take terrible video at that!). Throw signs up in the stations that say something like... "No Cameras Allowed BUT if you would like video of this ride visit www.cedarpoint.com or one of our gift shops for the DVD!". This might not be that great a feature at smaller parks with only 1-2 coasters though!

People aren't going to stop taking their own videos because official ones go up, because there's a drive in people to capture their own experience, no matter how shaky or otherwise unwatchable. So I don't see the HD POVs as much of a deterrent. The best deterrent, in my opinion, is letting the other people in line know that the ride is temporarily down because someone dropped their cell phone, or that the train was delayed because someone was foolish enough to start filming in the station. I was delayed about 20 minutes on Maverick because of this, and can assure you that the crowd was out for blood because someone's behavior was costing them time. I also like the 'busted electronics cube of shame' in the Diamondback line.
On a totally different note, are these HD cameras going to be used to shoot at sister parks? It dawned on me that a reverse-POV might be the closest we'll get to experiencing the Backwards Racer again.
The path you tread is narrow, and the drop is sheer and very high.
I guess I'll go ahead and do Tony's job and post Mav's pov on here. ;)
