Several departments are usually looking all year for people as some quit, get fired, transfer, or a number of other various situations.

I already applied in February, and just called a few days ago for a phone interview, but they only have foods-quick serve open . I really don't want to work in foods.

IMO you should work in foods Hey its not like you get to operate Magnum or Gemini but, At least you will have your foot in the door.  Also a transfer to a differnt Dept. Is not an un common thing at CP.  But just don't go to work with the intintion of a transfer.  Go in and do your job and have fun.  I have discoverd that work is not the only thing about being a CP employee. It really is a very larg family.
