New Picture

Looks like they took advantage of this great weather we are having today.

Love this picture: http://www.topthrilldragster.com/_upload/images/ride03_pics/constpics/Construction127.jpg

The drop is so insane.

They just added a couple more, Breakers looks so damn tiny.

Wow, Dan must have been pretty busy recently! :)

What is most anticipated event of 2003? the debut of Dragster, the release of Metallica's new album, the release of Terminator 3, or the release of Matrix:Reloaded...tough call.

That is one incredible set of photos....

As further proof of the amazing ability of the artists at Badnitrus, compare this Badnitrus image, to this actual photo that was just released.

Oh man... do they expect people to use those stairs at the top? I'd be scared like no tomorrow to go up there after these views.

Breakers?

Oh, and how could a truck parked under the track affect the train that rides on top of the track?

There is now a total of 13 new pictures up for today 2-20-03. Theres an awesome view or Magnum, and some of meanstreak and the hotels and some otheres.

D/\MN GINA!!!!!!!!

I like all the pictures, especially the one with MF in it. I only wish there was a picture of MF taken from the top of TTD. I'd be amazed at what that picture might look like, looking DOWN on MF. The picture of Magnum is amazing too. Magnum looks so tiny, and that's from an elevator, not even the top.

Well, it couldn't, but TopGun at Paramount's Kings Island is a suspended roller coaster. Obviously meaning it hangs from the track above. Similar to Draggin' Iron (Iron Dragon) at CedarPoint but with some speed, more turns and a pretty fun first drop. PS - anyone ever had the first train of the day all to themselves and one friend in the front seats? It's pretty fun :-D

I don't really Top Gun at PKI. It's pretty boring and the ride is only like 22 seconds long.

Now Top Gun at Canada's Wonderland, now that is one great example of a compact inverted roller coaster.

Also the Vortex at PKI (and PCW) are pretty cool.

Top Gun(PKI) is nearly identical to Vortex(PCW). There's a few minor differences.

Personally Vortex is a shadow of it's old self. It's gone the way of most Arrow's, rough. The last time I rode it was very painful.

I agree, that is one painful ride. I don't remember it being that bad back in the day.
Out of all the pictures taken thus far, which one do you think makes the best background on your desktop? I have been using the shot of the descending side taken from the crane bucket above the top hat. This is what you see half way through the ride.

Current Coaster Count: 89

This is off topic, but I didn't want to start a new one for this: I can't seem to open CP's website, are they down today? Anyone else having trouble?
No trouble here...

Up for me. Contact your ISP if you continue to have issues. You may be suffering from DNS server problems... or there have been some issues in Chicago that have affected DSL/Cable users the past few weeks (including myself). If you are on broadband, go to www.BroadbandReports.com and look in the forums for your ISP. There may be posts about the problem there, if others are experiencing it.

I used about 5-6 of the pictures combined as my desktop.

Or course I have a 21" monitor, so they can fit.
