I know this has been discussed before, but I've notice that there is quite a bit of structure extending above the track, such as the elevator. Is this what makes the ride 420 feet tall, or will we actually be exactly 420 feet above the ground while cresting the top?

If you haven't noticed, Virtual Midway has added some pics from the Season Pass center.

Nothing special; just interesting.

This isn't really about Dragster, but in rollercoast's first pic you can see some yellow poles on WT extending from the top of the front support to about half way up the front spike. Is this the modifications that were supposed to be made?

Edit:I guess I got a bit jumpy and didn't look at the rest of the pics where he pointed this out...still interesting though.

Why add pictures of the season pass center? I guess Walt is anxious to start taking pictures this year at Cedar Point ;)

That crane over by WT was moving around quite a bit today, but I didn't get a shot of it when it was up against the front spike. As for Dragster, no testing that I saw from about 11-1. But for anyone who hasn't seen this beast, be aware that it is massive! :) Also, is it okay to be in the back lot near the Sandcastle Suites/Camper Village?

I doubt it, Since they are both closed now. Those WT supports should have been painted green. But i guess they made them so its less noticable.

Edit: Doing 3 things at once is not recommended

But they are painted yellow... do you mean they should be painted green?

I (me personally) think the yellow supports on WT look out of place and tacky. Should have gone with the other support structure color.

Because it's there :) My theory is that everything at Cedar Point deserves a picture.

But, yes, after spending a couple grand on a new digital camera (Canon EOS 10D), lens, and accessories, I'm more than anxious to start shooting over there. Be prepared for a photo blitz this season like you've never seen before.

I think the extra supports are fine....They look a little odd, but semi-cool at the same time.

Good to hear Walt! Your pictures and Dan's pictures are what inspired me to buy my digital camera. It is no big expensive thing like you and Dan have but I figure for a beginner it works :)

This is my first year going digital. Everything on the site now was shot in 35mm film. I think it's going to make a big difference.

Regarding Walt's season pass pics, it's about time they put a bloody sign up saying go to the windows first. You can thank me and countless others from Wednesday afternoon that never stopped at the Group Sales windows before getting in line. Luckily, they didn't make me wait through that line again.
