New paint jobs

If they painted Magnum those colors, then I'm sure Cedar Point would rename Magnum to Jupiter. LOL!!!!

Hello...Magnum! That test strip of paint under the lift isn't there for nothing. If they don't paint it this off-season I think I'll have an aneurysm.

I'm not sure if that's supposed to be a rip at Cedar Point and the rider size but if it is ITS GREAT!!!!

Magnum definately needs the paint job most. It has never been repainted from it's original coat. I thought last year when the painted the test strip at the bottom of the lift in October that I was going to arrive to work on the freshly painted Magnum. That would've been a sweet 15th birthday present. Needless to say it should be on the top of the list of coasters that need to be painted.

The only thing repainted on Magnum were some of the supports that are visible from the exit plaza, and that was a number of years ago.

I think Magnum would look good with some new paint, but since most of it is away from things I can see why painting it isn't a priority. The rides that interact with the park, like Raptor, Corkscrew, Iron Dragon and Wildcat all have recent paint, and those should have priority over Magnum.

I noticed this year that MF is getting that faded pastel look like Mantis had before it got it's much deserved new paint. I do think that Magnum should be next. Wow it seems like we've talked about it here for years and it still hasn't happened! Jeff I remember that neon green and purple business, thank goodness level heads prevailed and they changed their minds! ;)

I really think they should re-paint magnum with some vibrent colors. I would say lets paint Magnums Track a dark orange and leave the suppors the color they are. I think that would look good. I mean its already almost that color you know, might as well.

I heard the seagulls are painting the Colosseum roof white.

Why? So it can resemble it's racing counterpart at SFMM?

I always thought a white Gemini would appear to pop out nicely in that area of the park. Even though this idea seems to reflect a certain coaster at a park on the west coast. ;) I've met many people who confuse Mean Streak for Gemini and vise versa. Gemini's brightly painted station sticks out too much among the natural colored wood.

You're right, enough with the blinding neon colors throughout the park, they're really beginning to clash. I actually like the natural wood shade of Gemini, it is a different wood than Mean Streak, but I have heard them being confused before.

I heard that Magnum was getting a new coat last off-season, so I really think it will this time. If there's one coaster though that doesn't need a paint job, it's Wicked Twister, don't you think? It just seems like those bright colors never fade...

Take a closer look, yellow can fade pretty well from weathering. However, WT certainly doesn't need a paint job.

I won't beleive Magnum is getting new paint until I see it.

Does anyone know why they have not painted the block wall on WT? Seems like they could paint a pretty neat mural or design onto it. Would certainly liven things up. Unfortunately it is just an ugly grey wall that detracts from the otherwise bright area.

At least a giant CP logo or something on that block wall would be neat. I hope if they did put something on it, it won't be wild and crazy like their color scheme, like some crazy urban tag spraying or something like that.
