New paint jobs

Which roller coaster do you think will get a new coat of paint for next year. I think Millenium Force needs it the most, but magnum and raptor could use one as well.

Raptor just recieved a new paint job a few years ago. Rumor has it that maggie is next on the list to get a new coat of paint.

I would like to see millenium get one considering its the same coat of paint since its opening year in 2000.

Um how about TTD? Well not all of it just some areas of it.

TTD needs some touch ups. Expecially in the cable run off. Its gotten to a point where its just plain scary.

MF definatly needs a paintjob. That thing faded fast.

Raptor just got one a few years back.

millennium force would look beautiful with a new coat of blue paint, or if Cedar point wanted to go all out they could use some 2 tone paint, where in the light you could see some darker blue or black

that would be real expensive, to just replace in a few years, but would be pretty cool

Some parts of TTD look like the inside of my grill. TTD look's disgusting in some areas. MF could use it but it dosen't look disgusting. Well TTD dosen't need much so they should do MF also.

What's the reason for the Intamin coasters to have the white lines where the wheels on the trains make contact to the track. In the opening month it looks nice but after that it gets to be where there are black marks on it. I think it's a bad choice. MF is just now ending it's 5th season. Magnum is ending its 16th season I believe. One paint job lasted 16 years the other lasted 5. If I were CP my attention would be on Magnum then MF. Raptor was painted in 2001.

Are you sure Magnum hasn't gotten a coat of paint since it was built? I'm not.

That has been said for a few years now, I really hope it's true for this off season.

Ok I just looked at some 2004 MF pic's and yes that thing needs a paint job. It's wierd because I didn't notice that when I went in July.

Just remember paint is expensive, costing thousands of dollars. Also, maintainance may not be able to accomodate paint for coasters of exceptional size. ;)

How long would MF take too paint?

Rather then throwing money into repainting the wildcat and iron dragon, i think they should of put the money into repainting MF and Magnum. The Iron Dragon's new paint job grew on me, but i liked the wildcat better when it was white.

Actually, I'm not sure. Other than the time they painted it bright neon green and purple. It caused so much of a stir up of people before the park opened they hired a crew to paint it back to its orginal colors before Opening Day. That was quite a few years back though.

I never knew that it was paited neon green and purple, are there any pictures of it on line.

Neon and purple! That is ridiculous. I thought Iron Dragon was a bad scheme, but that would just stand out in a bad way. It's funny how you get used to things, though. The first time I saw Iron Dragon, it was like a car wreck, it looked horrible but I couldn't keep my eyes off of it. Now it's normal and fits right in.

Same with me, Iron Dragon really grew on me, and its fine now. It also seemed to attract more riders. The line was much longer this year then any other year. I slo agree that Magnum being neon green and purple, but if it was at one point, i would like to see a picture of it.
