True, the Mantis is longer then it looks. I was thinking more about the height. MFs 'little' hills are as big the the first hill on Mantis!
I can’t stop looking at these pictures. It is refreshing to see different angles of Millennium Force and of Cedar Point.
I need a bit of help with the last picture. Can anyone tell me what I am seeing in the background? I am looking just to the right of the first drop on Mean Streak.
Thanks
I see that too Xopher! It kinda looks like a rollercoaster hill, but I imagine it must be something either with the film, or just some illusion out on the ice.

I thought the pictures were absolutely terrific. I live far away from Ohio so I'm not able to drive along the causeway every week to see the progress of the biggest damn rollercoaster ever built. I rely on many of the great contributions by MASTER Webmaster Jeff and others to get a peak at MF.
I'm just a little ticked off at some comments I've seen in this particular thread. It seems to be a pattern of Mr. Henry's to initially put something (or someone) down...then later, when people get offened, try to backpedal out of it.
ANY pictures, grainy or not, taken with a disposable camera or a $5000 camera, are welcomed in my book! And KUDOS to everyone who took their time and money to supply us all with pictures and information.
I think that the pictures are great. I would of never known that the large turn (not the over bank) on the island was even tracked yet. Also it really does give one hell of a perspective on how large that beast is. Now that I've seen this I'll have to do multiple hours on a stair master to be able to climb the lift hill every morning. Ride Op Millennium Force
Wow! I know I'm kinda late but until these pictures, I didn't realize how cool a ride this will be. I'm really lookin forward to it now. I'm gonna stick to my earlier predictions that the best part will be the turn close to the ground following the first overbanked turn! That's where I think the feeling of speed will hit ya! :)
