New high-res photos

I posted a couple of high-res photos in the news section. At some point I'll post my full collection of construction photos in the gallery.

Nice quality close ups Jeff.

Notice that we have launch track now, though none of it has the rollback braking installed. I haven't seen anything that really looks like the braking yet, but I don't doubt there are cylinders and fins somewhere in a bunch of crates.

It is definitely interesting that the "anti-rollback" brakes were not "pre-installed" as they were with Xcelerator at Knotts. It will be interesting to see how they put them in place after the fact.
That is, if there is any coverage about it from the park...

Launch: Tophat: Twistage: Brakes...

...Denial is an ugly thing.

I'm betting there will be, albeit without much in the way of explanation. In other words, more "documentation" than "coverage". What else would fuel this enthusiass fire?
Nice photos, Jeff. It's sad to think that anybody could now deny a L-TH-B coaster anymore.

Turkeys, the only animal smarter than man

I think I was standing right next to you, Jeff, when you took those pics. Great job!

Earlier on the webcam I saw that two more pieces of track on the pull up were installed and also that some of the launch track was lined up next to the supports. The track alternated red and white for both launch and pull up.

Those aren't really "high-res" pictures. Setecx.com's pictures are high-res. Jeff's pictures are very good quality, though.
I shrunk mine down. I have the really high res ones still but they are kinda big and if thats all I put up it would eat lots of bandwidth with everyone getting them. If anyone is interested in a particular photo though contact me.

The original images are 2048 x 3072, which I can assure you is a hell of a lot higher res than anything else people have. However, I'm not going to post 2MB JPEGs just so you can count the number of bolts on a support.

See if you can spot where this little piece came from:

On the right part of the tower where the wight track is connected to it.
Top picture, middle support connection, right end of white track section. That was easy. Pick something harder, Jeff.
Why does the top part of the tower angle in on one side?

The Point Rules! Blah

I am so mad all cps great rides and this one is gonna blow oh well it is certain now it is a L:TH:B

I am a Mechanical Engineering major not an english major so pardon my horrible grammer

How the heck anyone can think a high speed launch up a 400+ foot tower and back down again is gonna blow is beyond me.

So keep your ass home Doug, away from the park and not in line in front of me. They haven't even announced the damn ride yet and you proclaim it will "blow." We'll all be sure to make fun of you when we see you in line, wasting your time on a ride that "blows."

Doug -
There are only three excuses for bad grammar - ignorance, mental incapacitation or pure laziness. I don't believe mechanical engineering qualifies for any of those, so which is your real excuse?

Having worked in the engineering field for over 30 years, I can assure you that you had better learn to communicate in an appropriate manner if you expect to get anywhere with your degree. Try to impress people instead of insulting them.
