As for housing, it depends on whether you have a dorm or apartment, you can choose which one you want when you arrive. The dorms are quite tiny, with just beds, dressers, and a desk. The apartments have a livingroom and kitchen, so there is considerably more space, although you live with a lot more people than in a dorm. I don't know what you particulary wanted to know about the housing, but I personally like it. When my parents visited me last year, they thought I should be committed for living in such a place (I was in Commons Dorms) but I love it. I like the atmosphere and how there is always something going on.
In my experience there are a lot more friendly than unfriendly people at the Point. It really helps you get through to have people who you can have fun with. I am really the only unfriendly person I know at Cedar Point...j/k Nah, a lot of folks are really great, and I assure you you'll make more friends than you know what to do with. All you have to do is be nice and outgoing, and show others that you are a good person. Last season my roommate made a couple of friends just walking through the building on her way to the room.
As far as parties go, let me just say if you look, you will find. There is always after hours fun, some of it including alcohol and some just regular old fun. So to sum up: People being not being friendly and not being able to find a party will be the two things you will have to worry about LEAST at Cedar Point. Again, welcome, and I hope you have a great summer!

Sorry to break the trend but my name's not Amanda :) but I'm gonna share my two-cents anywho. Being nervous is totally normal, have yet to meet anyone who works there that wasn't nervous their first day, so don't sweat it. As far as partying goes - well Cat pretty much answered that for you. If you're over 21, then there are a few bars in town that are often full of CP'ers, if not there are plenty of other things going on you can do. Overall the people there are great and making new friends just takes care of itself. After all, everyone else up there is trying to make new friends too! Depending on where you work you'll probably be working with a crew of several other people who you're going to get to know real well. Hell, if all else fails c'mon in to park op and look me up and I'll hang out with ya ;) (and before anyone says it, no I'm not trying to pick up women on here, I do that on chat sites....KIDDING!)
