New for 2001

I thought it was a little odd that CP will not getting any new rides next year. Not only that but the expansion of Halloweekends and the Main Midway Project failed to give any details of anything to come. The web page also hasn't been updated in some time now. Even after Millennium Force something seemed fishy.

So, I decided to call the park's information line. Well, they just simply blew me off. This has never happened to me with Cedar Point. Does any of this smell like fish to you guys?

By the way, what ever happened to the boardwalk project. I thought they would be doing something by now. (Even if it won't happen until next season.)

"Welcome back riders, how was your ride."

"All I can say is it's great to be back."
I really don't care what CP gets next year. They just gave us a 25 Million Dollar Coaster. What else do you people want from them?

Hamburgers are only Hamburgers when people choose to call them Hamburgers.
Have their holiday cards come out yet? Maybe everybody is rushing to get a new ride planned, or even a wild mouse... who knows?

I just hope the midway renovation is still on, I would love to see them spruce it up!
Anyone know what the "new" midway will include?

I thought they broke off the 2001 plans for the midway renovation.

I'd heard they were going to put in fountains, but that it fell through. If they put in fountains like at Epcot, it would be totally awsome :)
Anyway, I'd find it hard to beleieve CP would just do nothing.

'95 Summer Spectacular/Ripcord
'96 Mantis
'97 CHOS?
'98 Power Tower
'99 Camp Snoopy

I'm not sure all the dates are correct, I checked everything I could. Anyway, there has never been a year since I went there that they did NOTHING. So I agree that there is probabbly somthing going on there. Hmmmmm.

Yes, this does smell like fish washed up from Lake Erie :)

I am pretty sure Raptor and Mantis both will be getting a fresh coat of paint for the 2001 season. Now us employees will get questions like "Is that a new ride"!
Mantis Crew,
I not saying it can't happen, but it will be a long shot that Mantis and Raptor will get paint jobs this year. Magnum didn't even get one last year for its tenth anniversary.

I heard Dan saying that Raptor, Magnum, and Mantis would be getting paint jobs in the next few years, but not this year.

If I remember correctly, Raptor gets it this year, then Mantis, then Magnum in the next few years.

Personally I think CP should paint Magnum first. Its the oldest and the most off color. Has Cp ever repainted it since the opening of Magnum?

-------------
MF Count: 11
No, they haven't painted it, but it sure would look good with a fresh coat of DARK ORANGE.
uh oh, here we go again??

Why does Mantis need painting? Is it the supports that need it? But can see Raptor need repainting, and Magnum to.

Hey WHOEVER did you say "Here We Go Again" because Magnum was originally Red and this was debated already or are you talking about something else? Am I missing an inside joke? Just curious.
