This trip report is just going to be completely random, so bear with me here.
Wow. 1-3 (or is it 3-1?) is now my favorite on Magnum. That seat is just ridiculously wicked on the third hill and on the final bunny hops. I can not believe how much of a difference the ejector seat makes, incredible!
Morning crowds were non-existent. Got no wait for Wicked Twister, Power Tower (both sides), Magnum, and Mean Streak (duh). I highly suggest being there right as the gates open. You can hit most of the big rides within 2 hours.
Wicked Twister waits were not long at all. I never saw it go past 30 minutes. I finally got to try near the front of the train, and it does make a big difference. The front is all about visuals. Looking around on the front spike is very, very cool. I still enjoy the back better, just because of the sheer intensity and the back spike.
The two B&M scream machines had long waits all day despite pumping out full capacity. Raptor chewed me up and spit me out, but Mantis was almost painless. The crew really tries hard to help guests get comfortable.
The freeway system is absolutely ingenious. Only allowing one per day is very understandable, and you get to skip the entire line (almost) without disturbing the rest of the line at all. Very pleased with the syatem. Unfortuneately, getting in line at the ramp of MF didn't help at all because it shut down for a good 3 hours. I was in line at 6 and had to leave at 7:30 because the bus was leaving. Very aggravating that the ride was not up quicker. Does anybody know what happened? It was really too bad, because I was finally going to break my habit of riding in the front and try the back. Oh well, I'll try again on friday.
See ya on the midways!
