New Employee to CP

Hi Everyone.. I'm Megan (21) from Cleveland. This will be my first summer working at Cedar Point, and I just wanted to say Hi :) I'll be working in Res Office, and I'm not really sure if I'm looking forward to it, but I'm sure it'll be fine. Well, I just thought I'd introduce myself :)

You will be working with one of the best managers at Cedar Point, in my opinion. Linda M. is a peach.

Yes, you'll be inside all day but there are some weeks in August where you will be pretty happy about that. When you aren't working though you will have just as much fun as anyone else at the Point.

What is there to do on day offs? I know you can go into the park (once opened), but heh I don't want to until I make some friends =\ I saw on the website that there are employee nights and cookouts, sounds like a lot of fun :)

The reservation office is pretty big and you will get to know the front desk clerks too. You will meet people right away who are in the same boat as you...new to the park and wanting to make friends. Don't be shy.

On days off you of course have the park, Soak City and the beach. The Sandusky Mall is nothing to write home about but it is there if you need it.

ESD is a department devoted to providing activities for employees; it is how I met many people my first year. If you are bored then it is your own fault b/c there is plenty to keep you busy.

Jade asked me again if I still wanted to be employed, because I didn't send back my 2nd contract yet.. the wrong one again!! when are they ever going to get it right! Hopefully I can survive heh.. I wanted to work in the gift shops, but nooo I had to get hired by res office :(

It might not be that bad. :) Sometimes, communication wires can get crossed, but I guess that is natural! Let me know if you like the Res Office!!
