Well it looks like everyone will have to walk across the bridge this year to get to commons. The construction on the dorms has begun. it's also kinda weird they are building them right in the parking lot!.I really don't know any specs on these dorms but I hope they are nice with a/c!! If anyone else knows what they will be like post it to the board!! Thanks!!
Me personally, and I know I'm in the minority, I'd rather have the on-point housing! I like the idea of getting up 20 minutes before my shift starts and not being late. *Grin* They still are keeping Gold and Cedars, right?

The commons lot? Well darn. That will definitly make it harder for me to get to bayside from my car.

There will be no more parking in the commons parking lot period. All the grass that is getting torn up on the other side of the bridge is because they are expanding the parking lot since that is where everyone will be forced to park.
I do not know about the a/c question except to say the first level was 1/4th put up by the time I left on Monday and it looks like under each window there is a space for an a/c.....
my question to that is
how do they decide who the lucky ones are who get the a/c'd buildings? And regardless that certainly doesnt seem fair to anyone else!
If it gets as hot in those rooms as it did cold in mine I would go nuts in the summer there!

Welcome back Raptor riders-how was your flight??
All housing is first-come, first-serve. I'd imagine that the a/c building will be the same.

To add to the AC question, all of the off point dorms will become equiped with heating and Air conditioning starting next season. The 1400 building was closed early so they could start on it. Plus the new dorms are coming with it also. As for the commons lot, I was told that when all of the construction is complete that the portion remaining of the commons lot will be reopened, just like whe they took out musch of the lot for the 1500 building.
During the middle of the season, CP handed out those surveys with our checks one time, and on the survey it asked if offered a/c in housing, would you be willing to pay more for one of those places. Look for the cost of housing to go up next season if anyone plans on returning to work.
