Anybody know what's going in near Gemini?
There is a new concrete pad along the fence line, just to the right of the ride entrance, with four good sized footings with anchor bolts sticking up. The concrete is saw-cut in a grid pattern along the edges of the footings
The whole thing is perhaps 8x8 feet. It's bigger than the foundations that appeared last season for the Live Entertainment signs.
There is no electrical conduit feeding through the concrete.
Any ideas?

No pictures? Oh the horror. For something that small, my guess is that it is some sort of display for halloweekends. Perhaps a new game.

/me laughs at all this.
If it's for a small family ride, it's for a REALLY SMALL ride.
The pad in question is, I say again, no bigger than 8x8 feet. The four anchor footings form what looks to be a regular square. There are no conduits brought up through the concrete.
The biggest thing that might fit on that spot would be something like a climbing wall, but it wouldn't make sense to put one that close to the entrance to a major coaster. I didn't get photos because I didn't have my camera handy (gasp!).
My expectation is that it is for a sign, or a small building about the size of a Guessing game. I posted because I wondered if anyone here had either seen it or heard anything.

I haven't seen this concrete slab RideMan. I was just guessing that it might be for Halloweekends or a small family or children's ride. I'm sure that if you imply that it's probably not a ride of any sort, I would probably agree with you considering that you have recently been to the Point and I have not. Sorry if my answer from above sounded stupid.

No, this IS the sign for Magnum. This is the one for the people who walked that far past because they didn't see the entrance. It will have an arrow pointing back toward maggie. Then they'll have a 2nd sign over by Corkscrew for the people walking the other way. ;)

It would be sad if Gemini got a sign before Magnum did. It's easy to see where Gemini's entrance is...Magnum... not so much.
Isn't Gemini older than Magnum?
