New construction!

So with thousands of people at CoasterMania, was I the only one who noticed that most of the Mean Streak queue has been bulldozed?

I wonder if they are going to move all those spare ride vehicles in the Mean Streak infield out to the "new" property out on Cleveland Rd. where else would you expect them to store a bunch of used cars?

I think this is being discussed in the Halloweekends thread...apparently this is a new haunt location, at least according to some.

That's a good area now that I think about it. Makes me wonder when Cedar Point will decide to turn the old J.D. Byrider building into something more Cedar Point related. What I mean is make it not look a car dealership building.

Ah. When I saw it, I assumed it would be the replacement for one of the displaced haunts.

Well, that being said, just to clear things up, was anything about this area talked about at Coastermania? Or is everything just hearsay and speculation?

A new haunt or a relocated haunt (Pirates/Terror Island) certainly makes the most sense.

They already said Terror Island will go in Mavericks infield.

Who did? That's what I was trying to clear up.

Well they posted a picture of the path for Terror Island and it showed a shadow of a coaster and it was deffently Maverick.

There is also a new paved path in the Maverick infield. That path definitely wasn't there last year.

Will the Mean Streak Haunt be the replacement for Happy Jack's? Not the same haunt, but a brand new one?

A wax museum sounds like it has some potential. Hope they can pull it off well.

Oo, that's a great idea for a haunted house.

And it gives a nod to the history of the park.

I'm going to miss Happy Jack's Toy Factory. That's one of the many things I'll miss about the Disaster Transport ride and building. Hopefully they'll build another building after they've announced the 2013 roller coaster.
