If mean streak got a sign, wouldnt mf, ttd and maggie get 1 as well since they were all GT top 10 award winners?

It's not as easy to place a banner like that on MF or Magnum. Besides, those rides don't need the recognition like Mean Streak could use.

Magnum would be a piece of cake. just make it the right size so it hit the support perfectly. add a few dozen zip ties and presto! One mounted banner.

I wouldn't hold a lot of value in the opinion of a magazine that has a circulation of fewer than 5,000. PointBuzz reaches twice that many people every day.

yeah, but how many of the GP know that?

Everyone thinks it's the Amusement Today magazine that has named the park #1 for the last 8 years.

This is true...and let's not forget that Mean Streak doesn't have a huge sign with its own name on it, like MF and TTD do. The only label the ride had, with the name MS on it, was on its A-Frame at the entrance of the ride. Oy.

I think people are getting too caught up with the "top ten" part of the banner. I'm just glad that people might not mistake MS for Gemini so easily anymore. :-P

It seems a lot of us do. We are all general public.

^ Ok, fine. How are the people that don't cruise PB or CB or RCDB or read amusement park rags every day supposed to know that?

They watch TV. Have you seen the Trvael Chanel Latley? You can't turn on a show about Coasters or amusement parks with oyt seeing atleast ONE coaster from CP. Heck, i've even seen History Channel's Modern Marvel siries do segements on Dragster and Millie.
