I've noticed how everyone says how much they love Millennium Force, Top Thrill Dragster, and so on. However it seems like there are SO many rides that are rarely talked about. However if one was to be removed, say Iron Dragon, Matterhorn or even Cedar Creek Mine Ride there would be this huge outrage.
So now is the time to recognize those rides! Stand up for the neglected! ;)
Summer was made for a Cedar Point day~
There's nothing about them to talk about. All of us have our favorites (mine's TTD), but that's not all I ride when I'm at the park. CP wouldn't be the same without some of its classics. Going to the park in a few weeks is going to feel wierd with WWL missing.
I think I've ridden CCMR more times than any other ride in the park, but there's still not to much more to add to that.

As much as everyone hates it, I love Mean Streak. Over the years I've learned how to ride it, and it's probably one of my top 10 in the park now. And I have to say, I usually don't make it out of the park without a few rides on Iron Dragon, which I had more rides on than any other ride, up until late last year when my rides on Gemini over came those of ID.
As Gomez said, the absence of WWL is going to be strange. I always rode it a few times a year, but last year I really grew to like it.

Like everyone else, I love the rides of MF, Magnum, and TTD.
And, unless the lines for those are super short, I'll probably only ride each of those once in a day.
I get tons of multiple rides on Mean Streak (which I love), Iran Dragon (I've rode that coaster the most), and Blue Streak.
You get the point. =)

Calypso! I love hand-slapping on that ride, even though you're probably not supposed to. Well, I haven't gotten in trouble yet.
I too will miss WWL. My son and I rode that ride more than any other non-coaster in the park. I think mostly I'll miss the unparalleled view from the top of the park and Sandusky Bay.
I'll also drop a nod to Cedar Downs and Ocean Motion.

There is a reason they have been removed. You wont catch me on a Chance Chaos!
CP isn't going to keep a ride they think is a safety hazzard. As long as they are regularly inspected and so on, its a fine ride.
I agree that Cedar Downs is a must ride. It really is fun, and the minimal safety restraints add a certain thrill to it.

Calypso is being neglected... by the park. I wonder what will be missing from it this year... ;)

Amen Rider! That is one thing that not very many other parks have. I think there's only about five others like it in the wrold.
As for a couple of other rides: Snake River and Thunder Canyon on those REALLY hot days! Nothing gets you dreanched like those two!

Chaos is more of a maintenance nightmare than a safety hazard. Even though TTD a nightmare as well. People actually ride it.
The last 4 times I wanted to ride Chaos, I went to get in line and the rideops told me it was down.

Cedar Point was awesome even before the major coasters were built. I remember going to the park as a little kid when Gemini was the tallest coaster in the park. Riding the Western Cruise boats in the lagoon surrounded by a wilderness-like atmosphere. Jungle Larry's African Safari, which that area of the park was once like a "jungle" with all the beautiful vegatation surrounding it.
Coasters such as CCMR, Wildcat, Iron Dragon, and Corkscrew still play a major role at Cedar Point. They hold a special place for those just beginning to experience the great thrills of roller coasters. Also, not everyone likes to go very high reaching intense speeds, but prefer the much more mild rides.
