Need help here

I'm coming all the way from Utah, the Twilight Zone of America. You'd have to visit to understand. Yes I am mormon and no I don't have horns....most of the time. Kidding. Back to the topic, since i'm coming from almost 2000 miles away i'm not exactly knowing of where to go for a nice place to hang out on days off. I'll have access to a car so that's not really a problem. But sorry i'm not into drinking or smoking so no bars if that's all they offer. Thanks

Well, the one bar louies is the main place everyone goes to hang out, but that is at night. Many people go bowling, there is an alley real close to the housing. There is also a mall not too far away and a movie theatre. There are more things to do then go to louies or another bar. But many people do go there. It is a place to hangout, where most everyone who works at CP will go to relax at the end of the day and have a good time. Not everyone who goes there drinks, louies is open to people 18 or older.

But once you get to CP you'll make some new friends and ya'll will figure out stuff to do and places to go. Cleveland is only an hour away and I believe Toledo is also an hour away as well. There is such a wide variety of people who come to work at CP that you are going to find a group of people to do stuff with.

I hear there is some sort of amusement park near by.

I think Cedar Point might change that.

Hey, I don't drink or smoke either.. so you're not alone. Just like SCarolina said, there's should be plenty of stuff to do other than the bar scene.

well after u work overtime you should be too tired to do anything cept sleep. between work and sleep there isnt much time left over for much of anything

Louie's sounds pretty good, but i'm all funned out on amusement parks after working the one out here. But that may change. and i can go for a long time on little sleep.

I know a place you can go.......

WALMART!

Good luck finding much of anything else out in Sandusky other than movie theater, etc.. Whereabouts in Utah are you from? I am from AZ so we are sort of close- sort of.

ahh walmart... When I worked in death valley, walmart was like the place to go when you were bored... it was like an hour away (two 1/2 after the flood wrecked the highway) and we'd all go at like 2 in the morning to get food! It was great.. lol you can easily spend your whole paycheck there in one hour!

I know what you mean- my friend and I were in their almost every day developing photos and buying random stuff... You gotta love that place! :) I don't know if I could have driven that long though. Where in death valley did you work?

If I lived in Death Valley, I'd slap my parents...

You could go visit the fortune teller lady on US250!! ha ha.

haha no it wasn't like with my family. I was bored in WA and wanted a fun summer job, so applied at this "Ranch and resort" in death valley.. it was actually a lot of fun.. It's the only place out there.. it's called furnace creek. I loved it! When the road was opened, vegas was only 2 hours away! lol.. that's pretty awesome, especially since it was the second nearest town.. Anyway, after living out there your perspective totally changes.. before, I would never have driven an hour for a store, let alone 2.5 hours. Now i'm like 2 hours? thats nothing.. lol

ooh and did I mention from june-september it was like 120+ degrees everyday.. that's awesome. But the sad thing is you can't ever get that again unless you go back. I miss the heat!

Basically what my friends and I did when we werent working was drinking, going to Louie's and going to the Park and Soak City*of course not at the same time or even near the same time*. We went and saw movies once in a while but going to the park with friends is still fun even when you have been there 27,896,324 times.
