Need help getting there or staying

Hey Flisk, I called Matt Zoloski or something like that.Hes like aride manager. He told me to extend my days working there so I did from June 10th till September 1st, he said with that I have a better chance of getting a ride.An said thanks will call you in 2 weeks well the 19th is the deadline an still no call. Also I may not have a ride getting to the point on the 10th, as my dad works for a company an lives in Toledo.Im in Findlay. But im guessing 75% Ill be at coastermania June 7th . Matt said that I couldnt just have the 8th an 9th to stay there before I work so getting there the 10th can be a problem..Need Help guys.

Greg

Matt Ozoskey is who you talked to, and if he doesn't call you Monday call him back on Tuesday.  If you're getting there on the 10th and are working on the 10th, you will need to go down there on the 9th to process in.  Which probably doesn't help you much because that's still a weekday and your dad probably still works.  Your best bet is to extend your contract so you start work on the 9th if you can't find a ride so you could always stay the night in a hotel and process in on the 8th then have the rest of the day to play in the park.  There is also a way that housing can pick you up from the train/bus station but I'm not exactly sure how that works.

Hey Matt, I would call on Tuesday Like Sad Smiles Suggested. There really isn't much more to do than wait now. I know how boring it can be too. :) Maybe somone in the Toledo area can give you a ride to CP. I will probably have to work that day. I'll also let you know if I have the day off when I start in May. Hey don't hesitate to send an email if you have more questions :)

No No,   Im not Matt Chris!  Im Greg, I said I called Matt. Nor do I live in Toledo I think you read alittle fast lol.I live in Findlay Ohio. Im going to tell Matt possibly that Ill work the 8th of June til September 1st. That way at coaster mania (the 7th) i can process in an stay at  my dorm there after I process in an still play at CoasterMania! Processing shouldnt take long right?

Greg

Sorry.  I kind of slipped up there sorry.  I get confused easily.  I just meant maybe somone near Toledo could help you.  I know Findlay is pretty close to Toledo been there a few times. I'm from near Cleveland though.  That sounds like a good plan to go on Coastermania.  Processing it shouldn't take too long.  I would suggest trying to be there as close as possible to 8am. That way you can allow yourself plenty of time to process in.  When you process in just tell the person at the ticket booth you are processing in and they direct you to the Human Resources building.  At HR they will have you verify a few things i think like make sure you have your tax forms and such correctly filled out if they aren't.  Then they will Give you information on the department (Park Op) show you how to get to your department office, wardrobe, and housing buildings. They'll give you an employee guidlines book give you some paperwork to fill out for the rest of your processing in. Then they will make you an employee badge.  You use that to enter the park and go to the department office.  After that scoot over to wardrobe, and you can check into housing almost anytime after that, although I would recommend doing that right after wardrobe.  I hope you have fun this summer :)

Ashland, eh? Ah the memories of Lucy's (now BW-3), booty calls in Kem Hall and countless hours on the air at 'RDL. Good times.

Processing in on Coastermania is probably your best bet... plus, you won't have to pay to get into the park that day.  I agree that getting there at 8:00 so you're the first one in line is a good idea that way you will have plenty of time for the park.  However, I'd recommend that you go to wardrobe first thing after human resources then to park op and hold off on housing until that night after you are done in the park.  Housing is open 24-hours so it really doesn't matter when you show up.  Just something to think of... I guess it all depends on how organized you want to be before your first day.  In my opinion, you'll be there all summer and have plenty of time to unpack... spend the day with your friends and have fun at coastermania!  :-)
