Name Tags

Has any one heard what our name tags will look like this year will they be the same or will the have a new look?

Magnum 2003
Magnum / Camp Snoopy 2002

I'm sure they are the same.

TTD 72 rides (2 nonpaid rollbacks, 5 paid rollbacks)
TaeKwon-Do First Degree Black Belt. (1st dan)

Most likely they're the same, yes, since they don't tend to change them frequently for any real reason other than extraordinary events.

They changed them last year for no apparent reason.. and they issued the old ones in the beginning of the year. So you had to go get them changed if you had one of those

'03 WT crew/ATL Sky Ride
'02 WT crew

no "apparent" reason is exactly it..

They were changed for a reason but the average worker didn't know why but there was a reason.

What I was told is that the design on the tag was changed from Snoopy to an American flag to show patriotism and support for the troops in Iraq.

but the whole flag thing kinda sucked for international people... I wouldn't want to go to another country and be expected to wear their flag on my chest

I guess if you have that much of an urge to work in another country there is either something you don't like about yours or you want a new experience...

Some foreign people like to take on some new customs, and wearing the flag is one thing Americans do best... albeit some from other countries hate us because of it, that's their problem not ours... I guess if they *really* wanted to waste their time and money they'd make a stink about it...

The international employees in Admissions have to stand respectfully just like everyone else while the national anthem is being played before the park opens. No one has to salute or anything -- it's just a part of their job, to show respect for the country where they're working at the time. Nametags are just part of the uniform; they go with the job, too. (Anyway, most international employees also have their country of origin on their tag under their name, unless they are also attending college in the United States).

I suggested to someone in HR last year that they allow the internationals to wear the flag of thier country in it's place.

It wouldn't take that much work on HR's part to add them to the computer and there are only a handfull of countries to add.

It would give the international kids a chance to show off pride in thier country as well as give the public a little extra notice as to the diversity of the workforce.
