Okay.
So how did CP announce TTD? Do they broadcast it on the news and on their website? (Just so I know what to look for) :)

Little Leslie, are you secretly a guy? ;)
My author website: mgrantroberts.com.
I recall Walt sending out an email when Skyhawk was announced. I was on the compter at school when it happened.
We'll miss you MrScott and Pete
Vince,
Where can I get one of these "compters" and what exactly do they do? Can they only be used at school as was where yours was located? Are they very expensive?
Please reply here or send me a PM to inform me of this "compter" you speak of.
Sorry, I couldn't resist. ;)

Ride on, MrScott!
We'll send out a "breaking news" e-mail as soon as it hits. To make sure you get it, click here and check the box next to "Subscribe to mailing list?" if it isn't already checked.
Friday's seem to be good days for news to break.
Actually, I will be out of the office and away from a computer all next week so my guess is it will break next week.
That might be good. Then I wouldn't have to read all of the criticism from folks who have yet to ride the thing.

Loopy - He paid in Canadian, so they could only give him 87% of a computer. Its the whole exchange rate.
Goodbye MrScott

LOL! No, I'm a grown woman....I was just sleepy at the time & feeling silly. :-) You know it was funny!
"THE Top Thrill Dragster...THE Millennium Force...THE Wicked Twister...THE Magnum! How do you like those apples?!?!?"
Well, at least they'll break the records for most rides in an amusement park, right? That & the most roller coasters in one park.

Unless Flashback comes down before next year, CP will only be tying the most coaster record with P2007. Although, Flashback hasn't operated in a couple years, its still standing at SFMM.

John
According to most sources, it's going to remain closed, but won't be removed until the park has another use for the space.
2007: Millennium Force, 2008: Millennium Force ATL, 2009: Top Thrill Dragster

But it is still a standing coaster. So I guess it counts (I know if the situation were reversed, CP fanboys would be fighting to make a CP SBNO "count")
Goodbye MrScott
John
Is that another roller coaster? I wonder why they have some of these coasters out of service for so long. Like that one in Japan that 'stole' the height record from Millennium Force: I think that one is still down.
Edit: I looked at it on that rcdb website.

"THE Top Thrill Dragster...THE Millennium Force...THE Wicked Twister...THE Magnum! How do you like those apples?!?!?"
That's down because of superstition (my opinion, not fact). I have a feeling it will reopen when the next year of the dragon rolls around.
Yes, Flashback is a coaster. Its a wildmouse on steroids.

Superstition? That's cute. Explain...
I saw how it looks- all in one little area. But it looks like it could be fun.

The Japanese are a very superstitious culture. I'm sure they are waiting for the "stars to align" or whatever they use. I'm not that into their culture, but I know a little bit about it. So, John's theory makes sense to me.
edit: It was supposed to reopen middle August though, wasn't it? *** Edited 8/25/2006 5:22:01 PM UTC by halltd***
